    About the adventure

Do you need help creating your newest character? Whether this is your very first time creating a D&D character, or you've created so many you ran out of ideas, I am here to help! Here are some of the things I can assist with: ✨ Introduce you to a new tool (the classic paper character sheet, a character sheet specific to a setting, the Roll20 interface, the D&D Beyond interface) ✨ Explain to you the basics of D&D 5e so you can make informed choices (what each term means, what role you'd like to play within the group, how to use your stats to create an interesting character) ✨ Advise you on class, lineage and background mechanics so you create the character you want to play, using ressources you might not have (Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Monsters of the Multiverse, Eberron: Rising from the Last War, Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, Tal'Dorei Reborn, Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, Spelljammer: Adventures in Space, Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos, Acquisition Incorporated as well as 3rd party content if your DM allows it) ✨ Provide you with information on a setting you are not familiar with so that your character fits right in (Forgotten Realms, Eberron, Ravnica, Exandria - Tal'Dorei & Wildemount) ✨ Contribute some inspiration and/or discuss with you a backstory that you'll be happy to share with your DM and fellow players (coming up with secrets, anecdotes, ties to places or characters, motivations towards the plot...)

    Additional Details

    How to prepare

All you need is a working microphone and access to either Google meets/hangout or Discord. Having a vague idea of at least one aspect of your character might help start things up (eg. a class, a character trait, a type of story you'd like to develop...) but is not necessary. Knowledge and ressources regarding the mechanics of D&D 5e or the specific universe your game takes place in is not required. Please do ask your Dungeon Master which sourcebooks they allow as well as their preferred method of determining ability scores.

    What I provide

I will be providing you with information from a variety of sourcebooks, as well as methods on how to create a character you'll enjoy playing. We might also discuss where to find or how to commission a character portrait if time allows.

    Gameplay details

As you will be creating the character, you might wish to discuss difficult themes. At the beginning of the session, we will establish Line and Veils so that we can both feel comfortable. We will take breaks as needed and can discuss subjects such as how to manage character bleed and good aftercare, as well as how to use Stars and Wishes to help your character evolve.

    How will character creation work

We will create your character during the session, focusing on what you need help with. It is always a possibility that your character creation might not be entirely finished by the time the session ends depending on your character's level of complexity and your own knowledge. If that is the case, I will provide you with material to complete your character on your own or we can schedule another session with a 50% price reduction.
