About the adventure

The wondrous library of Candlekeep is a must-visit for anyone in the Realms with a thirst for knowledge, and you are no different. Candlekeep Mysteries is a collection of seventeen adventures contained within books of Candlekeep- your group, during their study in the library at the behest of their patron, has begun to discover that some of the books within Candlekeep's esoterically organized library are not only filled with knowledge, but with magical power! This campaign will go through the different adventures of the new D&D book "Candlekeep Mysteries," with potential opportunities between missions to further explore the library and Candlekeep as a whole. Your group will have a patron giving them leads on books to look into from the library, as well as rewards for each successful mission! This campaign goes from levels 1-16 and will run bi-weekly (once every two weeks). [It is the player's responsibility to cancel via the dashboard if they are unable to make the session. How to prepare

Players will need a working microphone, Discord account, and Roll20 account in order to play the game. You may either create your character ahead of time or use a pre-made character. It is suggested you look over your character sheet before each session to refresh your memory on your abilities and spells!

What I provide

I will bring my knowledge of D&D 5e, my sense of adventure and fun, and my knowledge of Roll20 to every session. I typically end the campaign with a gift, so at the end of the campaign, it is likely you will receive something related to your character- perhaps commissioned art or a physical memento of the campaign.

Gameplay details

Players will complete a Consent in Gaming checklist prior to campaign start (anonymously if preferred) which we will use to determine lines and veils for this campaign. X-Cards will be used via Roll20's deck feature. This game will have an Open Door Policy: players are free to leave the session or campaign for their own safety or well-being without judgement.

How will character creation work

Players can either make their own level 1 character or choose from pre-made characters for the campaign. Character Creation will happen in Session 0, but you can use the guidelines below to start thinking of character concepts. Players who wish to make their own character may create a level 1 character using any of the following books for D&D 5e: Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. Some Unearthed Arcana may be allowed upon request. All level 1 characters will begin with 5 extra hit points on top of their base HP at level 1. Characters should use the Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) for their base stats, and may use the Customizing Your Origin features in Tasha's. If you join in when the party is past level 1, you can either make a character using guidelines I send you, or use a pre-made character at the party's current level!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
