Bugtopia - Game of Thrones meets A Bug's Life.

About the adventure

This campaign is for dedicated players who enjoy a lot of role play and narrative in their games. Want to be part of an epic story unfolding across kingdoms? Think bugs are neat? Then this is the campaign for you. This is a more serious campaign despite the nature of the setting, with potential player death being a possibility, high role play, and high fun. The players will find themselves at the center of empire of sentient bugs, organized into highly stylized kingdoms and factions, of which the players will be able to choose. This campaign takes a lot of creative freedom with some of the more basic mechanics of character creation in order to make each character feel unique and part of the world around them.

How to prepare

A webcam isn't necessary but a mic is! Players are expected to be familiar with 5e's systems, regardless of experience. The game will take place in a format agreed upon by the players, whether that's roll20, tabletop sim, or even a shared google slides link!

What I provide

Maps and all story elements other than character design will be taken care of! Just bring a good attitude and some excitement!

Gameplay details

Players can expect sessions to be a healthy mix of role play and combat despite the setting's high role play nature. A world of fleshed out npcs exists around the player characters and they're encouraged to interact with the story as much as they like. This campaign is best suited to players with strong ideas for characters who enjoy role play and who aren't afraid to bring their characters to life, despite this players are still encouraged to talk out of character in and out of combat. Characters will be introduced in session 0 to the world and each other before the story starts rolling!

How will character creation work

Players are encouraged to take creative freedoms in the creation of their bugtopia residents but will be given guidelines and roles to fill at the discretion of the group. Suggestions are also welcome and session 0 is a team effort!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
