Book of Lairs: The Riverfront Rat Gang (5E)

About the adventure

The Riverfront Rat Gang is a one shot for 1st level characters and new players to Dungeons and Dragons 5E. "The old dockyards once served as the primary center of commerce in town. Years ago, political pressure from an influential merchant who wanted the docks to be closer to her business forced shipping concerns to move their docks upriver. The new facility accommodates larger ships, and the old docks fell into disuse. Now a new Mayor wants to convert the property into a set of riverside shops but there is a rat infestation that has proved to be an unsolvable problem. Additionally there is also rumors about the thieves' guild operating out of this area. The players have been hired by the town to clear the rat infestation and any other threats to the revitalization of the old dockyard." The Riverfront Rat Gang is suitable for for 4 to 6 players. New players are welcome. This is a one shot and characters will be inputted into Fantasy Grounds. Pregen characters are available.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players will need a microphone and good internet connection to connect to fantasy grounds. Webcams are strongly encouraged because I feel that player expressions are important to facilitate game play. If you absolutely do not feel comfortable using a webcam you will not be required too. Characters sheets and dice will be provided in fantasy grounds.

I will bring the rule system, character sheets, dice, maps and illustrations within fantasy grounds.

Gameplay details

This is a 1st level one shot game for 5E Dungeons and Dragons. Players will bring or create 1st level characters that must be sent to the DM 24hrs ahead of the game. There will be tactical gameplay, puzzles and role playing is encouraged. Pregenerated characters are available. Regarding safety, if you feel uncomfortable with something please let me know privately and I will address the issue immediately.

How will character creation work

This is a one-shot 1st level 5E Dungeons and Dragons game. Characters should be created ahead of time and sent to the DM 24hrs prior to the game. I am flexible with using most of the D&D books but characters will be reviewed for approval. Be reasonable and fair with your character creation Pregenerated characters are available as well. Characters will be inputed into Fantasy Grounds.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
