About the adventure
One of the most commonly run WotC modules, perfectly suitable for new adventurers. This module has gained a bit of a reputation as a 'trial run' for ttrpgs, and loves to go off the rails halfway through. I've rarely heard of Lost Mines going exactly to plan, and it usually leads to a larger more overarching campaign afterward. If you're just looking to dip your toes into DnD in a way that lets us establish a longer-term game going forward this is absolutely the perfect way to start.

How to prepare
A microphone is required. While it is not required to have characters set up and ready before session 0, it helps out immensely. I host my foundry board through Forge, so you will have to make a profile with them to access it.

Gameplay details
With DnD games I do a simple session zero to establish characters, some basic rules, and a few backstory hooks I can work with later. Lines and veils are also established during the Session 0. This is by no means the only time the document can be modified, and I am willing to change it for a given playgroup on request. X-card is always available.

How will character creation work
Characters start at level one, and should be prepared entirely before session one. This could be before, during, or after session 0, or I can make time to help you out if you need. For stats I use 4d6 drop lowest, and allow an additional reroll of one stat of your choice; If you choose not to roll, you may also use standard array. HP can choose to roll, rerolling 1s and using the rerolled number even if it is a 1 again; If you choose not to roll, you may also use average.
