About the adventure

Welcome to the to the town of Achray, a town inspired by the Humblewood Setting and the folklore of Scotland, teeming with ancient secrets and whimsical creatures. Discover wise birdfolk and resourceful humblefolk, all with their own unique stories and personalities. You'll head on the Western Highway to the foothills of the Nevishian Mountain, in search of the Circle of Blaeberries, a druidic group who haven't been seen this Spring and whose blessings keep your village safe and bountiful. Solve mysteries along the way, embark on thrilling adventures, and forge lasting friendships with your party members. This storybook adventure is inspired by the unique Humblewood setting and will offer a unique opportunity to explore Scottish stories, landscapes and humour. This campaign is ideal for new players, and will give you the opportunity to move from Level 3 to Level 5 across this short adventure. Are you ready to go on an adventure together?

Additional Details

How to prepare

Ideally everyone will have a webcam and microphone they can use for our sessions. You will need to be able to use Zoom and DnD Beyond for this game, as well as taking a look at the background information for the Humblewood setting which I will provide. We'll go over any rules people need to check in the Session Zero, and I am happy to help in between sessions.

What I provide

I will include an overlay for us to use, with an animated background, space for character names and more to immerse us fully in the game. I'll include setting appropriate ambient and battle music, to add a cinematic layer to our game. We'll also have an interactive battle map available using the Above VTT system on DnD Beyond. And finally, we'll be playing with the Rule of Cool! I play with a very "Yes, and" style, and I want us all to have a ton of fun!

Gameplay details

All players will receive a Lines & Veils Document to fill in, and this will be fully covered in a Session Zero where I will run through expectations (mine and yours) with all players. I'll check in with all players via Discord to check how they are feeling about the game after each session. The X Card system will be offered as either a digital chat function or by physically holding up arms in an X on camera

How will character creation work

I will share with you the character prompts from the Humblewood campaign setting which includes character creation details you will required. We'll start at level 1, and during the Session Zero will decide how you all know each other.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
