Across the Undersea

About the adventure

This campaign will be set in my personal homebrew world, which is loosely based on the world of the video game Sunless Sea. The story will be mostly character-driven within an open-world sort of plot, and it will feature heavy steampunk and mystery elements, with some mild horror. Expect an exciting story exploring a massive underground ocean upon a ship, battling monsters and pirates alike, hunting for treasure, and solving the intense mysteries surrounding the dreaded Undersea.

How to prepare

Mic and (at least) semi-stable internet is required, as well as an account on Discord. A webcam is ideal, but not required by any means if you feel uncomfortable or don't own a webcam.

What I provide

I will be using my own dice, as well as digital copies of all the core rulebooks for d&d 5e and some homebrew rules that I've found and plan to implement.

Gameplay details

This game will be an approximate equivalent to PG-13, and includes some cosmic horror elements, and will be utilizing the Script Change toolkit ("rewind", "pause", "fast forward" when players or GM feel uncomfortable in the in-game situation). We will also have a Session 0 to create characters and hash out any rule/roleplay problems before beginning play in earnest.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd level (depending on the average preference of the group decided in Session 0). They will be created during Session 0 as well, and we will work together to create characters that fit well within the world and that you are excited to play.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
