About the adventure

You've watched Stranger Things. You've listened to Critical Role. How do you start playing? A character sheet can be an overwhelming wall of numbers. Skill checks, saving throws, initiative? What do they all mean?? This session is dedicated to helping new players learn how to create their own custom character, and in the process learn the basics of how to play Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition! By the end of the session, you'll have a completed 1st level character sheet that you'll be able to take to any D&D table, including the next step in my A Beginners Guide to D&D - Lost Mine of Phandelver!

How to prepare

Please have a FREE DNDBeyond.com account and Zoom with a working webcam and microphone. The possibilities for creating a character are near-limitless! It's a good idea to have an idea already. Modeling after a favorite fictional character is a great place to start.

What I provide

I will bring all the necessary know-how and patience to help you create your first character!

Gameplay details

Though D&D can contain violence and adult themes, my character creation workshop is designed to be a PG experience. I ask that everyone refrain from adult language and themes so that everyone can enjoy the experience.
