About the adventure
New players welcome. The hunters will be in late 21st or early 22nd century. Magic and the supernatural have been proven to exist, but this fact has not been much discussed so most people haven't paid attention. They will be investigators who are hired to look into the strange things no one else wants to deal with. Magic and the supernatural aren't truly evil, but are still dangerous to deal with. Advanced technology will have an equal focus to magic and the supernatural. Inspirations: Dark City, Katalepsis (web-novel), To Cast a Deadly Spell, Cthulhutech The exact details will depend on how session zero works out. The focus will be on shaping some details within the setting and playesting rules for metamorphosis as a character becomes less and less able to fit in with the physical world. Game may be recorded so that I can take notes after the fact and not interrupt game flow by typing or jotting stuff down. Permission will be asked ahead of time.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I have been a tabletop gamer and game-mastering for over thirty years running a variety of games ranging from Chill to Hero System and Monster of the Week to Shadowrun. I prefer running games that have a strong narrative leaning with mechanics that support and enhance the mood the game is trying to set. Over the last ten years most of my gamemastering has involved some form of powered by the apocalypse and I am the co-author for Monster of the Week Supplements: Hunter's Journal, Slayer's Survival Kit, and Mystic Marginalia. (Thryth and Luke are acceptable forms of address) You can find some of my stuff in Monster of the Week's Tome of Mysteries and the Double Spiral War Saga RPG for both Savage Worlds and Traveller (I did the lore write up for both and designed some of the NPCs for Savage Worlds). For my self-published works, look into Divine Blood or my DrivethruRPG store: Thrythlind Books and Games.

Creating your character
There will be a session zero in which characters will be created and basic world setting details will be determined. Determining allowed playbooks will be part of session zero, but idea is to start closer to mortal. In order to keep things focused, team playbooks will not be used.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Roll20 and a Discord account. A roll20 page will be created once the game has been commissioned.
What Thrythlind brings to the table
I lean towards the rule of cool and generally design my stories taking the hunters into account. I am welcoming to characters that want to play unusual characters. I am one of the co-authors of Slayer's Survival Kit, Hunter's Journal, and Mystic Marginalia.
Homebrew rules
If you turn a miss (roll of 6-) into a success by using Luck then you will still gain the experience associated with rolling a miss. The purpose of this is to encourage quicker leveling and encourage the use of Luck.

Safety
How Thrythlind creates a safe table
Griefing or bullying behavior will result in being ejected from the series with a refund for the current setting. I will not tolerate hate speech. Exact content warnings will vary dependent on discuss in session zero. I like to reconnect with my players after the game to make sure they enjoyed the session. It's not exactly a formal Stars and Wishes, but I do l like to check in.
