About the adventure
This is the first in a series of adventures based on the 10 one-shots found in Dragon Delves. Your party begins at level 1 with a mission that spans all ten of the adventures, and they are strung together in a campaign thread based on the adventures themselves. There will be some tweaking to some of the stories and I'm not opposed to the narrative taking us down some rabbit trails at some point. These are fairly simple adventures as-published that I hope to spice up a bit depending on our players. You don't have to play all of the adventures, but you're more than welcome. Each adventure will be listed separately as we get there in the story. This will be a PBP adventure run in Discord with both asynchronous and synchronous play. New players and veterans are welcome!

About me
I've been playing D&D for a few decades on and off. I started when I was just six years old as I looked over the shoulder of some teenagers that I carpooled to school with. The BECMI books were such an intrigue to me even at that age (heck, I couldn't even read some of the words). Of course, my play developed from there and I became a forever DM. I've dabbled in some other genres (Vampire: The Masquerade, Aberrant, & Pathfinder mainly), but D&D has always been my go-to. I was strictly tabletop for most of my life and had a break from gaming for several years. About five years ago, I returned via Discord and PBP gaming because it fit best with my life schedule. Outside of gaming, I am a husband, father and Director of Nursing at a long-term care facility. I'm an amateur musician and lead worship at my church.

Creating your character
We can further discuss character creation during Session 0 but... Starting level is level 1. We will using Avrae in Discord, so the easiest methos of character creation will be D&D Beyond. Dicecloud is also accepted. More rules for character creation will be shared once you've joined the Discord.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account and preferably a D&D Beyond account. I typically use On The Fly Battle Maps within Avrae but if we need to adjust to Owlbear, we can do that as well. Some encounters may also be run as Theater of the Mind. The invite for the Discord server will be provided upon enrollment.
What Bedlymn brings to the table
I utilize only a handful of house rules but Rule of Cool is always great in the right circumstances. I like to think I employ a good balance of all aspects of the game (Combat, RP, Exploration, etc.) and these adventures lend themselves to that.
Homebrew rules
I utilize the "Add Max Dice Total" rule for critical hits (to make them count a bit more) Dropping to 0 HP in combat automatically induces 1 level of Exhaustion (to make 0 HP feel more relevant) Drawing & Stowing is garbage and we just throw that out (within reason) Full actions used for healing potions grant the max healing amount.
