About the adventure
In 1928, you are contacted by Dr. Highsmith of St. Agnes Asylum. He seeks your help with a troubling case: one of his patients, Alexander Roby. Two years earlier, Roby was committed by his own brother after a horrific incident that left their father and sister dead under mysterious circumstances. Alexander was somehow involved—yet no charges were ever filed. Now, Dr. Highsmith believes Roby is ready to be released. But before that can happen, he needs outside confirmation… and discretion. Questions quickly surface. Why is Roby’s brother so determined to keep him locked away? What truly happened on that fateful night? And what role did Alexander play in it? As you investigate, the truth becomes harder to ignore. What first appears to be a tragic family mystery begins to reveal something far older and far more sinister. Something is watching. You must uncover the truth—even if it costs you your life… or your sanity. Because you have seen the Yellow Sign. And you cannot forget it. THE KING IS COMING. THE KING IS COMING. --- This campaign is a slow-burn psychological horror investigation set in the world of Call of Cthulhu. You will follow a trail of secrets, uncover hidden connections, and confront forces that challenge everything you believe about reality. The story begins in London, where the first mysteries unfold. From there, your investigation will lead you across Britain and deeper into a conspiracy whose true nature must be discovered. Expect: - A strong focus on investigation and uncovering clues - A dark, atmospheric horror experience - Meaningful choices and consequences - A gradual descent from the familiar into the unknown --- You do not need any previous Call of Cthulhu experience to join. New players are welcome. If you enjoy mysteries, psychological horror, and stories where curiosity can be just as dangerous as the monsters you face, this campaign is for you.

About me
Hi — I'm Jacek! I run atmospheric tabletop RPGs focused on investigation, exploration, horror, and the unknown. If you enjoy uncovering mysteries, exploring dangerous worlds, and making meaningful choices together with your group, my games are built around those experiences. I aim to create sessions with strong atmosphere, memorable characters, and a balance between tension, discovery, and player-driven storytelling. I started my RPG journey in the mid-90s, running my first games of AD&D 2nd Edition and Call of Cthulhu. I quickly became the person who runs the games — and decades later, it is still the part of the hobby I enjoy most. Even after many years behind the screen, I keep improving my craft through small, continuous changes rather than chasing constant reinvention. I regularly run Call of Cthulhu, Delta Green, Dragonbane, and other games focused on horror, survival, and exploration. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors — whether hiking through forests with my dog Migo or pushing myself on long-distance trail runs. If you are looking for a table where atmosphere, story, and player choices matter, I would be happy to have you join one of my games. Drop me a line if you're looking to play specific scenario for Call of Cthulhu or Delta Green - I'm eager to run them all. I'm also very much interested in almost all Free League games as well playing some old school titles like Star Wars from WEG or AD&D 2nd Edition! I recorded a short introduction video if you would like to get a better sense of who I am: https://youtu.be/BjBTNa-oBvY

Creating your character
We will create characters during session zero. Prior understanding of the system is not necessary but will help. It would be good if some characters have some alienist / creative arts backgrounds.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Foundry and Discord and I will provide links to both before. No knowledge of Foundry is needed. I encourage use of webcams as I believe it gives closer experience to playing at actual table but don't require it.
What Jacek brings to the table
Although I try to run game by the rules I am for rule of cool. If any rule is standing in a way of good story or players actions and any change is reasonable - I'm all for it. I will try to utilize all the good things Foundry can do but in the end it is theatre of the mind game not a computer game. Don't expect to see visual aid for everything happening in the game. I will reuse handouts provided within campaign book and where needed and if time lets me I will try to do my own takes on those. I do my own music and will try to utilize this for audio backgrounds.

Safety
How Jacek creates a safe table
I use Safety Tools Foundry module so those are built in into Foundry game I will set up. Those are easy to use and always at hand for players to utilize. This is a horror game with scary moments and all but there will be no sexual content here (and I strongly suggest players to not push it). I don't expect any scary stuff to be really uncomfortable if you are into general horror.
