About the adventure

Welcome to Inaelia! In the far northern reaches of Gel'boros, guarding the polar boundaries, stands the outpost of Vraskel Den. The goliath wardens who keep watch here patrol the burial grounds of their ancient enemies, the giants; as well as their progenitor, the titan, Daïace. Runecrafters created great seals to keep these threats from ever returning through the use of necromancy, or even reincarnation. However, one such necromancer has forced open the doors to one of the cairns that contains the remains of the Frostmourn. A powerful undead ice giant, and a potentially dangerous foe should the necromancer enthrall it to their service. A warden has spotted the necromancer using their undead servants to pry open the doors of the cairn, and now looks for local adventurers to follow after the necromancer. Will you, as a volunteer, manage to stop them before they break the rune seal and raise the Frostmourn?

About me

I first learned about TTRPGs some time after D&D 3.5e had come out, so I had a lot of catching up to do at the time. However, as soon as I was exposed to the possibilities, the dam was broken and I was hooked. I've been in and out of groups since then, but when the pandemic began, I had nothing but extra time to play tabletop games. I started homebrewing my own content, running my own games, and making my own maps. I'm not satisfied with playing tropes or going with what's easiest. As a fantasy fiction writer, I want to tell stories that are engaging, breathtaking, and continue to surprise you at every turn. I like to keep things cohesive, but always allow my players to make their own choices, and face the consequences that may or may not follow. The story we tell together should feel like the result of the choices you make together. That's the game I want to create for you. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to the style and length of the adventure you'd like to play. From intense one-shots to elaborate campaigns spanning 2 years. I can run official modules, or invite your group to the setting of my world, Inaelia.

Character creation

Creating your character

You are free to take any options available in the 2014 or 2024 Player's Handbook. I also have a compendium of homebrew options available to use for character creation upon request. Characters will begin at level 8, and should use Point buy to determine scores. Racial bonuses will be replaced with a flat 3 points to distribute to any scores as players see fit, with no one score receiving more than 2 points from this bonus. You are allowed a free feat at level 1, and can choose to begin with a magic item of your choice with a rarity of uncommon or below, and does not require attunement. If there are any further questions, players are free to ask me in discord. While the region is predominantly made up of Goliaths, Dwarves, and Dragonborn, you are not limited to these options. As you are in the frozen north, your character should dress warmly :)

How RollPlayer1 creates a safe table

An X-card button will be available in the VTT for players to use anonymously. Once used, the game will stop and that player can message me directly so we may resolve the issue. This is an LGBTQ+-friendly game, and I have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech of any kind. Whether that be against gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, and/or creed. Nor will sexual assault be tolerated, whether simulated or as a joke. I want everyone who comes to my table to feel welcomed and safe. Communication is important, and you are always welcome to message me with any questions you may have or to bring up any concerns about the details of the campaign. If something makes you uncomfortable, please signal me right away and we will either retcon, skip, and/or avoid the issue.
