About the adventure
TO THE BAD GUYS (OR WHOEVER YOU ARE): Greetings. I have a lot of money. More money than I can count, mostly because numbers above twelve get fuzzy. But my point is, I am very rich, and you look like someone who wants to do big, terrible, evil things, but you don't have the coin to buy good sharp swords or huge ugly monsters. Inside this heavy sack is a whole bunch of gold. Take it. You do not need to pay it back. You do not need to do any chores for me. All you have to do is use this money to make the most giant, terrifying, dangerous evil plan anyone has ever seen. Build a giant fortress. Hire a hundred scary mercenaries. Summon a big angry demon with lots of teeth. Whatever it is, make it HUGE and very, very hard to beat. Do not try to find out who sent this. Just take the gold, go somewhere far away, and start being extremely dangerous. FROM: A VERY RICH SPONSOR (NOT GROG. DEFINITELY NOT GROG. GROG IS NOT HERE.) P.S. Make sure your bad guy hideout has high ceilings. In case someone tall comes to break all your stuff later. This is a villain campaign. It's your turn to build the dungeons and destroy towns and possibly even replace gods.

About me
Welcome to Ali Plays! I'm Ali, a Game master of over 30 years of experience. Join me on quests to find mystical artifacts, save nations from undead legions, experience planes crashing into each other, chase pirates, or face the biting indifference of gods. I build campaigns centered around player characters packed full of side quests, where you can go anywhere and adventure is just around the corner. I excel at helping players build backstories and weaving them into the game. As a GM I truly believe that the table top is about bringing the player's story to life, and making that happen is my favorite part of the game. Realize your heroes' potential today.

Creating your character
We'll build characters on D&D Beyond during session 0. Characters will be starting level 5. Think of a backstory, it will matter. Include details that would get you noticed. I will share the Tal Dorei Campaign setting, please feel free to read through it for ideas and details on organizations.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please download Above VTT browser extension. Join my D&D Beyond campaign, and my Discord. (Links will be shared upon joining) Also think of a backstory for your character.
What Alice brings to the table
I provide an environment with open possibilities. We're making villains, don't hold back. I strive to provide a living experience, where npcs have goals and change . Combat is challenging and requires tactics, getting away with crimes requires subterfuge.
Homebrew rules
drinking potions is a bonus action. Flanking rules apply. I'm a Rule of Cool DM so some rulings may adjust depending on circumstance.

Safety
How Alice creates a safe table
This is a villain campaign, which means that it will approach some dark topics. To maintain safety a few ground rules. NO SA or implied sexual crimes. Yes sexual violence is evil, but even villains should have morals. No Racism, there are plenty of ways to be a villain without useless hate. This is not the campaign to indulge in your racist fantasies. No Sexual Discrimination. Look you're trying to conquer the world, can you really afford to be picky about henchpeople? Respect your fellow villains. Lines and veils are gonna be very important to this campaign. I assure you, we can do evil without upsetting fellow players.
