About the adventure
Your wrists ache as the cold shackles bite deeper into your skin. The laughs and jeers from the crowd echo around you, only worsening the horrible feeling of a lamb being led to its own slaughter. As your captors throw you into the arena, unearthly roars erupt from the corners of the colosseum, no doubt the monsters being fed their daily meal of unfortunate prisoners. Consumed by fear and terror, you barely notice as more people are dumped into your tiny prison, no doubt fellow sufferers sharing your doomed fate. Clutching the few possessions you were allowed to keep, you wonder how on earth you'll survive this twisted game and slay the monstrous nightmares and their sadistic masters. (FAQ) This adventure is The Colosseum on HARD MODE with the following changes 1) Much fewer character build restrictions as seen in the Character Creation Rules 2) More powerful monsters and bosses that show no mercy 3) Players will get a short rest midway through the fight (Any abilities with a duration of 10 minutes or less will run out by the end of the short rest, casting any spell longer than 1 action will mean you forfeit the short rest) 4) DOUBLE XP REWARDS ON THE VICTORY LADDER FOR PLAYER WINS

Creating your character
Character Creation 🏹 - All characters start at level 11 - Ability scores can be standard array, point buy, or rolling (If rolling, the sum of your 6 starting scores must be at or below 75 with no stat above 17 or below 6) - HP always takes the standard amount each level - All material spell components, non-magical weapons and armor are free - Each player gets one uncommon item and one rare item - Characters can be made in D&D Beyond, Roll 20, or anything else as long as there is a link to view it - Pre-generated characters available upon request List of Approved Content ✅ - All WotC material and optional content - Both D&D 5e 2014 and 2024 content (2014 and 2024 rules can not be mixed, must choose one or the other) - Multiclassing and feats - Tasha's Origin Customization - Any homebrew or 3rd party classes or items must be sent to me in discord for review at least 2 hours before game time List of Banned or Modified Content/Spells ❌ Spells - Counterspell always uses the 2024 rules, and the spell slot IS lost upon a successful counterspell - Command doesn't force a creature to end its turn but can be used to force movement, dropping things, or going prone - Polymorph only gives 1/2 the max HP of the creature you transform into - Orros Mark of Fate Classes - Clerics may only cast spells with a casting time of 1 action or 1 bonus action with their divine intervention Items - Enspelled armor spell levels are half of normal rounded up - Armor of Safeguarding Feats - Iron Hero - Spelldriver Other - Infinite AC/HP glitches - Shadar-Kai, Yuan-Ti, and Satyr races - Scrolls and potions will be more strictly regulated and must always be explicitly approved before play - Other items/classes/abilities upon DM review

What GM Eclipse brings to the table
You'll experience a variety of custom tokens, dynamic, shifting battle maps, and unique twists on DND's rules to breathe new life into the classics. Ambient music will be provided and player voice acting is encouraged but not required for increased immersion!
Homebrew rules
Custom rules for games in this server: 0) Rule of Cool at DM digression 1) All potions take a bonus action. Health potions: Bonus action rolls for health. Action or out of combat takes max health. 2) No PVP unless all parties agree. 3) All players start with 1 heroic inspiration and more can be earned through creative, thematic, or resourceful gameplay. 2024 Human race starts with 2. 4) When rolling with advantage via the 2024 lucky feat, family first feat, etc. you must call its use BEFORE the first dice is rolled 5) Flanking rules apply to most players and monsters unless stated otherwise
