About the adventure
Set in a modern world, where you play a typical human camper (one of 50 premade characters), you will effectively have the opportunity to play as the protagonists of a horror movie. You will arrive, find that some things are rather off and spend your would-be camping vacation tracking down clues to tell you what is out to kill you, how you can stop it and whether or not you'll be able to survive. Each character has something that makes them special, whether that thing is semi-supernatural, completely mundane or somewhere in between is anyone's guess. These abilities may mean the difference between a horrible death in the woods and getting out of Camp HavenBrook with your life.

Hey, I'm Lotus, I've been GMing for 15 years. I like to run open-world adventures where your character feels challenged but also feels like they can make a difference. I emphasize consequences, not punishment for actions. I prioritize story-telling over punishing combat or rigid roleplay. I also use my own d20 system that I've been developing for 10 years!

What Lotus Child brings to the table
I do my best to provide an immersive experience, whether that is providing props, doing character voices, etc. I will attempt to bring the game to life around you. I am also a sucker for cinematics, so if you're trying to do some epic, all or nothing attempt, I will give you what bonuses I can and roll with it, and even if you fail, I will reward the attempt.
Homebrew rules
My entire system is homebrew, but you won't have to know how all it works in order to play. The characters are made, you'll be able to just sit down and get right into the game.

How Lotus Child creates a safe table
Before we get into the actual game, I will be providing a trigger warning document that you can fill out to let me know what I can avoid in game. I'll be going over how we can flag different scenes and make sure everyone is comfortable and at the end we'll do a "round table" where we go around and say what we liked about what each of us did.
