About the adventure

You are refugees from across time and space, fleeing something that should not exist. You call it the Follower. Whenever it catches up with you, you tear your way through another reality and emerge somewhere impossible: landscapes of grotesque beauty, impossible architecture, strange creatures, forgotten civilizations, and wonders that have escaped the most monstrous of imaginations. CHOOSE YOUR PATH Will you survive as a Scoundrel, living by your wits? A Priest, searching for meaning amid the impossible? A Poet, whose words shape the journey? A fallen King, clinging to purpose after losing everything? An ingenious Artisan, crafting solutions from the strange materials you discover? Or an enigmatic Alchemist, forever experimenting with the unknown? Whoever you become, every choice changes both you and the worlds you cross. EXPLORE ART'S IMPOSSIBLE LANDSCAPES Hieronymus is a surreal, hex-crawling tabletop RPG about exploration, survival, and wonder. The group will chart their own adventure across unknown lands, meet bizarre inhabitants, uncover forgotten secrets, and decide how to survive in realms that often obey dream logic rather than common sense. The map? Hieronymus Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights". LEARN TO PLAY This oneshot is perfect to get a taste of just how weird art can get when you decide to make a map out of it. I'll explain the rules as we play, provide everything you need, and guide you through your first journey into what will hopefully become a multiverse of explorations. Expect collaborative storytelling, combat as a last resort, meaningful choices, and a healthy dose of the Weird. If you enjoy surreal fantasy, evocative art, and discovering the unknown, this journey is waiting for you. You just have to survive it long enough to escape.

About me

I like my games how I like my tea: hot, honest, and better with company. And like my tea, I like my worldbuilding steeped in history. I've been playing and discovering worlds for fifteen years now—care to join me for your next adventure? I'm an Italian GM, bilingual in English and Italian, with EU- and US-friendly playing times (one of the benefits of being a night owl!). My first adventure was Homer's 'Odyssey'. Long before I ever filled my first character sheet, I was fascinated by stories of people setting out into the unknown, discovering strange places, meeting unforgettable characters, and returning home changed by the journey. That feeling has stayed with me ever since, and it's a the heart of how I approach tabletop games: every campaign is an adventure, and every world is shaped by the people who live and play in it! I started out as a player on play-by-post forums before joining my first Pathfinder 1e session. I was incredibly lucky to experience a campaign that took us all the way from level 1 to level 20, mythic tiers included. Since then, I've run long campaigns primarily in Pathfinder, D&D 5e, and Daggerheart, with plenty of detours into pretty much everything. I've been behind the screen for more than seven lucky years now, and nobody's complained yet. If you're looking for a table where there's room for curiosity, good stories, unexpected turns, and a little bit of magic, pull up a chair. I'd be glad to have you along for the journey.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation is quick and will take place at the start of the session. Each player will choose one of six Archetypes: Scoundrel, Priest, Poet, King, Artisan, or Alchemist. From there, you'll create a unique character concept. Your character can come from any world, any era, or any future, as long as your concept fits the chosen Archetype. I'll provide character sheets and explain the rules as we go, so no prior preparation or rulebooks are required!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will only need a Discord account and preferably a Miro account!

What sixter brings to the table

I aim to make every session feel vivid and immersive. Expect expressive NPCs with distinct voices and mannerisms, rich descriptions of surreal landscapes, and, when the mood calls for it, ambient music to bring the world to life. Your character matters. I love players who invest in their characters' hopes, fears, relationships, and ambitions, and I'll weave those elements into the story whenever I can. Long narrative backstories are always welcome—tell me who your character loves, what they've lost, and what they're fighting for. And if you fall in love with your character? I'm always happy to continue their story between sessions through written roleplay or short fiction—and if you'd like a portrait of them, just ask.

Safety

How sixter creates a safe table

Horror works best when everyone at the table feels safe. Before we play, I'll provide a short survey covering Lines, Veils, and potential triggers so everyone can privately share their boundaries. You're welcome to tell me about themes you are ok to explore through your character, as well as topics you'd rather avoid entirely. If something falls into the latter category, I'll do my best to keep it out of the game.
