About the adventure

"Components Gone Wild!" is a single setting one-shot, taking place in a modern fantasy world's magic store, run by a semi-retired former adventurer, Kaia, and their nervous wizard assistant, Gyre. The adventure is meant for players with at least *some* experience with Dungeons and Dragons, but new players are also welcome to come give the system a spin! The players will be working alongside Gyre to resolve a sudden infestation of Spell Component Sprites before Kaia gets back from picking up lunch a few blocks over. The story can be resolved either through combat or through mediation and puzzles. Players should be willing to discuss these options with one another to make sure everyone is having fun playing together! The only truly scripted combat encounter is the "boss" encounter, with any fights beforehand being up to the party as a whole to engage in.

About me

Hello! My name is Rosie (he/they), I'm a queer, neurodivergent, amateur GM who's mostly run unpaid, casual games until now. So far I have only run Dungeons & Dragons 5e, but I hope to expand my library of systems as I get more experience under my belt! I've been playing tabletop for about seven years now, and have been DMing for just as long, if not longer (everyone's had a Forever GM phase lol). I find TTRPGs to be fascinating and exciting tools for building characters and telling stories, with things such as dice rolls providing exhilerating twists so that the same tale can never be told twice!

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters can either be made ahead of time using Standard Array at Level 3, or players can select one of four pre-generated characters I have made myself! Character sheets should be hosted through DnDBeyond.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should have accounts for Discord and DnDBeyond. I have a Discord Server for players to join for the VC, and players are welcome to stay after the one shot or leave after the session is over! It's entirely up to them :3

What Rose brings to the table

I can provide pre-generated characters for players to use if they don't want to make their own, and some fitting music for scenes!

Safety

How Rose creates a safe table

Players will fill out a Lines and Veils document before the session begins, and during play, Players will have access to X, N, and O cards that they can display on the VTT, or if they'd prefer, they can message me privately an X, N, or O.
