About the adventure
A century past the dark industrial age, the Empire of ‘68 runs mostly on space-age electrotech and cold war paranoia. Art is deco, vinyl is in, the international situation is volatile, public peace is fragile, autopods are angular, neons are blinding, and the skies above Doskvol are bright and blue again, if only for hours a day. But under all of that glamour, street life hasn't changed that much at all: a sinister jungle of convoluted plots born of selfish intentions, and the inevitable mess that follows. ‘The Frame-Up’ is a two-score one-shot for a tight crew of resourceful criminal elements, playing as either Militants violently opposing the system or Shadows making their money anywhere the lights do not shine. You’ll hit the ground running in the middle of a setup that’s already going sideways. Once the cold open clears and the dust settles, the game opens up for you to plan your own follow-up score. Are you going to wrap up loose ends, track down what has happened, or just find the snitch and make them pay? There’s only one way to find out: the hard and messy one.

About me
Hey, I’m DC, a GM of the forever type. Started playing and running AD&D 2nd edition in the ‘90s, soon extending into some of the next gen games of the era (Ars Magica, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk 2020, Earthdawn, White Wolf’s Vampire, Werewolf, and Mage). I’ve picked up the hobby again with D&D 5e (as you do) around 2020, and running games in English since then, both online and at the table. I’m also most eager to branch out into some of the interesting new stuff that came out lately.

Creating your character
We'd like to have crew and character playbooks ready before the session. You'll have you pick of crews, pregenerated character playbooks and/or all the support needed to create your own characters. Please spare a couple minutes on what kind of a lowlife you’d like to play (and those you’d rather not), and let us know as soon as possible.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure you can connect to Roll20 before the game and please check if your Discord's audio/video is operational. Please use earplugs or headphones, and avoid playing from your phone if possible.
What DC brings to the table
We'll primarily use theatre of the mind, with Roll20 handling character sheets, clocks, dice, handouts, and city maps. We'll start with an introduction or brief refresher on the setting and system, discuss expectations, and cover safety tools. No extra preparation is needed on your part.
