About the adventure

Having established the Theta Compound in expanded detail, procurements were made to expand into the Borderworld - the place between places. Having already established prior contact, our newest employees - Under the guidance of Dr. D. Klyne (CG-001, AV-013) - Assets will be allocated into a thinktank. Their consciousness will be uploaded directly to their inactive clones in stasis, ready for use before and after transfer. Once within the new area, the compound will drop approximately 97 metres for an estimated 4.5 seconds. This will allow the facility to occupy an already existing gorge in the landscape. The gorge is currently occupied by a large creature the local inhabitants stay clear away from, which has been determined should be crushed beyond survival upon landing. As the new area will no doubt be under emergency protocols, Capital General has already designated the most likely repair and restructuring routes necessary for long-term survival. At all costs, the nuclear facility cannot be breached - the same for Dr. Klynes laboratory. What is being transferred will be connected to what was once AV-04 original landing site, since heavily modified. The Borderworld has bizarre physical properties, as well as unique and otherworldly minerals and materials. Gravity, light, water - all as they decide and often against physics. The true dangers of the Borderworld lie in the memories of what once was. Exposure to the environment itself begins a process of dissemination upon any living creature, attacking from all angles. As the clones deteriorate, your job is to continually convince yourself that you somehow have survived and you are real; self-doubt can be literally lethal here. Beware the locals, none of them found so far have been friendly. With compound Theta comes a serious of experimental procedures, as well as several paradoxical attempts to create a stabilized anomaly. Energy sources and "Where" things come from are impertinent information that can assist with getting one a promotion. Wherever you go and whatever you do, do your job well and you will be equally rewarded.

About me

A Game Master, Dungeon Master, or otherwise Entertainer brings to the table a variety of things. Some bring modules, dice, and digital maps with dynamic lighting and animated effects. Some use strictly Theatre of the Mind. Some stream their content. And some don't. Some others stand out, creating homebrew worlds like a moonshine sommelier trying Honey and Nuts for the first time. Whether they stand out because their content is incredible or bizarre is to the eye of the beholder - And if thats what you want to encounter, that can be arranged. But if you prefer to have something that is Unique, not available to the public, and a bit more "simple" in the Graphics department - Lets talk. I'll even set you up with some inspiration, advantage, or dubs on our interactions. Specializing in the 40% Human gaming system, I have ample experience with 5e 2014, and pathfinder 1st edition. For a dedicated group, I would be willing to learn a new system. My personal experience over the decades will provide you with an ample plethora of imaginative content to choose from or direct. Available most morning, afternoons and evenings, Feel free to reach out. Mention reading this far, and I'll consider giving a discounted rate

Character creation

Creating your character

Read the how-to-play pdf on 4d6.ca. page 17 / 9:20pm and utilize the google sheets links on the website to find where to spend your experience and monies. Join the discord, talk to me directly, and we can build your character together. There are no classes, just free reign as to what and how you want to build. A jumping firebreathing gremlin? A human chef with a panache of rare ingredients? Just wanna go as fast as sonic and take bonus turns? Whatever it is you want to create, the system is versatile to accomodate your needs.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need: - A discord account - A roll20 account - A Microphone - A decent internet connection - A Good attitude and wanting to try a new system and style - An interest in the bizarre/creepy/unconventional Also, we have a digital character sheet to utilize! You can find it here: https://game-sheet.vercel.app/

What Ferden brings to the table

5 1/2 Simple rules to follow for a good time: 1: Dedication to the group. We are here together, lets have a good time. 2: Dedication to the story. We are doing this together, lets make it work. 3: No Politics. That's not what we are here for. 4: No Religion. Again, not what we are here for. 5: No PVP, period. Unless the campaign has PVP in it and/or EVERYONE agrees to it, PVP has never helped a campain get better. and the half? Rule of cool. Sometimes, we just gotta let the moment happen.

Homebrew rules

I reward creativity and problem solving with a solution I have not had before and/or considered. This is first and foremost a role-play game, and if the players skip a dragon-combat because they built a trap that worked, then that's what happens. It may feel anti-climatic, but sometimes that's just the way it should be. That said, the game is also about combat, puzzles, traps, shenanigans and all kinds of other enjoyable things. Let yourself be a part of something else. We are all in this together.

How Ferden creates a safe table

This is a setting with mature themes, not intended for kids. It is weird, bizarre, sometimes gross or disturbing. My vocabulary and imagination are large and I kind of exist in the moment myself and try to explain it the best I can. That said, there is nothing sexual written, no forms of child abuse, no forms of "ism" or hatred - We will try to work with you to make it happen. But I don't control the world or outside sources. If another player subverts the rules and/or intentionally makes other players uncomfortable, then they are warned once (maybe twice), then removed. If something happens that makes you uncomfortable, you can always reach out to me privately or in-game. Text helps me read it and not break flow, as well as give me time to prepare a response or address the concern.
