About the adventure
The world is dying, some are slowly beginning to acknowledge that, soon everyone will know. You and your comrades have seen tons of oddities, half of them just enough to drive you crazy. The marauders from Wastland are back again from their motherland of ashes, thirsty of riches and blood, or maybe just desperate, like all of you. At first it seemed like their fault, your captain stated it was, you believed it, but it got more and more strange with days passing by. At the camp they said you were just paranoid, but soon everyone started to feel uneasy, crops don’t rot like that. You are no farmer, but that wasn’t normal, nothing here seems even real anymore, and your very skin freezes when you remember the fields. Acres of lands covered in purple mud, flowing from the crops, big and slimy black berries growing on trees, and the stench of death invading the nostrils. Livestock slaughtered on the roads, abandoned to decay, who did this? It’s been a month since the last fight with the marauders, not one in sight since then, their drums, feared among all for the message of impending death delivered through them. Now there’s only silence, and hunger. Everything has rotted, villages are empty and so is the stomach of the soldiers. Why this? Why did they do this? Don’t they eat too? It didn’t take long before you started pillaging your own villages, the ones who managed to survive somehow. You had to protect them, but you can’t do that without eating, you’ll find new farmers, the Duke will think of a way, as always. Someone tried to eat the strange fruit from the trees, or to cook those bizarre crow-like birds that appeared since the war started. You didn’t bury them, during winter the soil it’s too firm for digging a grave, they were just left on the road, next to the livestock. Enough it’s enough, you can feel your guts digest itself from the inside, there’s no war here anymore, just hunger and death. You must run, you heard the south's situation is slightly better, maybe there’s still some farms with food. You have silver with you to buy a piece of bread, and a dagger, for what can’t be bought with coins… Run for your life, it’s a scream that echoes all through your body, but how? Well, this part is up to you, what will you do when in the south? What about the plague’s mystery? Well, you tell me. Will you go to the ghost village to satisfy your curiosity? Let’s discover this together in this one-shot.

About me
There would be a lot to say about me, such as my profound passion for literature, of any kind from fantasy to "classics", or the many years I've been attending acting classes for theater, and I won't even mention my philosophy degree, there's still a year left but I'm almost there. All these things are very important to me and define the person I am at a certain level, but in this context they're not the most important things to say, not even close. It's almost funny but the only things that lasted from when i was just a teenager, 10-11 years ago, are me loving TTRPGs and some beautiful friendships, the same that flourished thanks to those same games. So, something about me... Who am i... Tough questions... There are not much certainties in life, but i think i could say, being pretty sure, that i could define myself as someone who loves to craft and tell stories, and i believe that TTRPGs are one of a kind medium for that. We are made out of that, everything in us from the very atoms of our being (the true stuff we are made of) tends and resonates with stories, and narrative is a flow with such power, it can stick with us forever. I believe in this, everyone needs stories in their lives at some point, and i've been crafting them with people, because TTRPGs are mostly cooperation and sharing at the table, for people because i love to, it makes you feel good, it's fun. I think there's little to add.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
For a session like this I will completely manage the character creation, as a way to grant easy access to new players, of course players are completely free to write me a message with requests. I always like to talk with players about their characters and their expectations, if they ask something specific I’ll surely see what i can do. Now, I will make solid builds for everyone, the game can be punitive and I don't want someone to get oneshotted in the first ten minutes, so I will make easy to learn/play (but hard to master) characters. This doesn’t mean it will be easy, absolutely not, of course there will be some challenges during the session, stuff to spice up the situation. Someone will probably die at some point, it’s completely normal and intended by the very game system of Mork Borg. For this reason I will have back-up sheets for everyone, think of those as extra lives. Is there something you have to read? No, I will teach anyone who needs to learn the basics, the game is pretty easy and literally can be played with just a D20 and some other dice (like a D6 and D8). A normal dice set with singles dice for each type will do. Of course if someone has already or wants to read the manual it will be of great help, for the rules and the tone of the manuals, but i repeat it’s not mandatory. To sum it up, i will make the characters and hand them to you before the session starts. At first we will discuss briefly, but in a proper way, veils and limits, then we will jump right in the action.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
There’s not much needed for this game, except for your passion, time and energy. I’ll use theater of mind for this game, so you just need a discord account and a functional microphone. Before the game I will join you to a dedicated discord server for the session, even if you don’t have dice you can still use an app to roll them, or if you want i can roll them for you. I completely trust players, I will not in any way control your rolls, asking for proof or similar, or checking your character sheet (of course if you need help with something I’ll check it WITH you). So yeah, nothing really essential except for… Well, you!
What Matteo Peddio brings to the table
What can you expect from this game? Well of course a mystery, something it’s up to you to unfold if you will feel inclined. Then a good atmosphere, i will bring music and soundtrack selected appositely for the session to make it feel intense. You will definitely have to make choices during the sessions, choices that will shape the entire session. Combat, investigation, death, magic, horrors and a little puppy… There will be all of this and even more, it’s up to you to find it.
Homebrew rules
I do not use any specific homebrew rule at the moment, except for the rule of cool of course, besides that I pretty much follow the manual as it’s written.

Safety
How Matteo Peddio creates a safe table
I always take safety at the table seriously, regardless of the session, I don't care about horror or natural fantasy, people should be safe to have fun without worries. For this reason I have clear and easy methods to keep safety at the table. First of all, every player can send me a message with their limits or veils. I always try to be precise with content warnings, so if you think that a specific topic is too much for you just message me and I will apply a veil to it. Then about X-card, at every moment everyone can send a message in general (i’m talking about chats in discord) to communicate they’re uneasy about the current topic, they can message me in private if they feel shy or don’t want to expose themselves in front of others. In short, just messaging an “X” will turn into a gentle and firm stop of the action for a moment, just to be sure everyone is safe. Usually I do a little break mid session, it can be useful to decompress, or just go to the bathroom if needed… Lastly, after the game everyone that wants to stay a little longer to talk about the session is more than welcome, talking about what happened could be very fun and an occasion to improve (for me thanks to your precious feedback), to be sure everything went smoothly and everyone felt safe.
