About the adventure

You ride your bike down the familiar street and feel the warm summer air against your skin. In just a few weeks you'll be leaving this place. Your friends will all be leaving this place. At least you know that you'll always have this town. This town where nothing ever changes. Where Mrs. Taylor will always spill a little bit of coffee when she bends down for the morning paper (we watch this happen as you ride past). Where the Billings' dog will jump against the fence at every car and be subsequently yelled at (we hear this). Where Mr. Perish's convenience store is always open and - (CLOSED) Huh. The neon red sign shines faintly against your face. You look through the dark windows. Not much to see... You wonder whether this town might just have a few surprises left. You continue down the road towards where you and your friends always meet. As you ride away, our camera remains. We pan through the windows and down narrow aisles of canned food. Stopping, we shift downward where we now see a pool of blood. Following it slowly, we eventually come to a shoe. A man, Mr. Perish, is slumped against the clear, humming doors of the refrigerated section. He sits completely still, eyes unfocused. Then - suddenly - he looks up, eyes wide, and breathes in sharply. After a moment... he smiles. _____________________________________ Join this Kids on Bikes campaign and help write our very own TV show! This game will run like a limited series building cinematically to a climactic finale! Together we will build our town, deal with our high school drama, and save everyone we know from a threat that we may not fully understand. Yet.

About me

Hello there! My name is Zach and I'm a professionally trained actor in Los Angeles who performs regularly in the area. Aside from this, I work with young audiences and students directing theater, running drum circles, and generally bringing them unique formats to expand their social and emotional learning. That said, I love playing D&D with people from all backgrounds and all experience levels, having run many games for people who have never even heard of table top role playing. So if you're totally new to this and overwhelmed (like we all were when we started), have no fear! I love sharing this game with people, and can have you rolling like a pro in no time! In addition to running games on platforms like this, I also DM every year at the adult D&D summer camp, Dungeons & Cabins! Here, I have worked alongside DMs such as Johnny Stanton, James Haeck, Danielle Radford, Mayana Berrin, Alec Lachman, Eliam Weinstock, Cate Osborn, Leon Barillaro, and Sammy Glicker. My biggest goal as a DM is to make sure everyone at the table is having fun and feeling safe. While adventuring has its fair share of dangers, sitting at my table doesn't. For custom bookings, events, and young audiences, visit my website: www.gameswithzach.com So let's hang out and tell a story together! Meet you at the tavern!

Safety

How Zach creates a safe table

I'll send out a link to a survey that can be taken before we meet. There, you'll be able to let me know your favorite parts about and experience with TTRPGs. This will be beginner friendly! You will also be able to select certain topics that you would like to be completely avoided, or those you would like to be handled with care and sensitivity. I want to do everything I can to make a safe table, so we can all relax into the game and have as much fun as possible!
