About the adventure
The year is 2048, and the world as we know it no longer exists. A decade ago, the first contact with the aliens was reported in Solar System. Excitement turned to horror as the contact with exploration probes around Saturn was lost first. Then the Martian colony went silent. When the alien ships loomed over Earth, we fought with everything we had. Turned out we didn't have much at all. They call it the Eleven Days to Unity now, the brainwashed and mind-controlled collaborators speaking from the TV screens. The aliens preach peace, justice, equality and uplifting for their lesser brothers. Nuclear wastelands, devastated countries and scattered populations suggest otherwise. You are the ones who don't believe the talking heads. You are what the official authorities now refer to as "unpacified elements" - soldiers, scientists, spies, defectors, and civilians who raid occupation facilities, rescue specialists, steal alien technology. Build your base. Recruit allies. Form a Resistance. Win back our world, one city at a time - and find out what the invaders are really preparing humanity for.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Greetings from Central Asia! I’m a full-time professional Game Master based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with over 800 sessions hosted on StartPlaying and over a decade of experience running roleplaying games. I specialise in long-form, character-driven campaigns, particularly dark fantasy, science fiction, horror, and faction-heavy adventures. My games combine the structure and depth of published campaigns with the freedom of a home game. I reshape adventures around the characters, their relationships, and the consequences of their decisions rather than forcing the group through a fixed script. I bring more than a decade of professional experience as an interpreter and international tour guide into my games, too.

Creating your character
The characters have been created during Session 0. If you're joining now, we'll sit down for a 1-on-1 and I'll help you get your Resistance fighter ready for action!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a Forge and a Discord account. Having a decent microphone and a quiet room for the session is a big bonus. Other than that, bring your best rock-n-roll mood and a desire to kick some alien butt!
What Sergey Sakharov brings to the table
I'll bring a fully set up campaign on Foundry, complete with scenic art, battlemaps and tokens - everything you need to visualise your journey through the alien-occupied Earth! The majority of the game takes place in Theater of the Mind, so I will have illustrated scenes, tokens and other visual aids to facilitate your imagination. Battlemaps will be used for tactical scenarios and the more involved combats to make sure we're all on the same page! I tend to follow the players' lead in the games. Most of the time my adventures are shaped as "landscapes", with multiple ways to achieve your goals, and a lot of freedom in choosing how you get to the adventure's objective.

Safety
How Sergey Sakharov creates a safe table
Earthfall is on the darker side of the tonal spectrum. Despair, oppression, death, horrors both mundane and eldritch - you can expect that aplenty. That said, there are a few lines that won't be crossed under any circumstances: - Explicit depiction of sexual encounters. They may be hinted at, but never "on screen". - No sexual assault of PCs or NPCs. - Gory naturalistic details of violence will be mostly given "at large". I don't delve into the massive amount of bloody details.
