About the adventure

In The Age of Decadence, there was a tradition. On the night before All Saint's Day, devils and monsters were said to roam the world. To protect themselves, citizens would disguise themselves as monsters so the things that go bump in the night would pass them by. That was before The Sundering, when the Moon fell from the sky in scattered pieces. When the mystic powers in the lunar dust gave rise to real monsters. When The Unknown began to creep in through the darkness. Now, in the World of Fog, All Hallows Eve (Halloween if you're nasty) is a deathly serious matter. The festivities that were once a source of fun and frivolity are now a matter of life and death. If you're not ready for the monsters, they will drag you into the dark. More importantly though: There's candy to be sold. Nana Tuckett, the proprietor of Nana's Confectionary, is not about to let a little monster apocalypse eat into her profits. That's why she's hired Delvers like you to venture into the fog, brave the Unknown, and make sure every Tenderhold in the area gets their candy shipment. Sure, you may die a grisly death. But that's not Nana's problem.

About me

Hey! My name is Michael, and I love creating worlds, building characters, and telling stories. I also like hosting games with a good balance of RP and combat. I love seeing what kind of shenanigans players can come up with and trying to create genuinely heartfelt moments in the games. If you're looking to push the boundaries of what you can accomplish as a player, I want to play with you.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will be using pre-generated characters from the Quickstart adventure guide to "Time Without Tide."

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To play this game, you'll need a Discord Account and as many D6s as you can get your hands on!

What Michael brings to the table

We'll be using pre-generated characters from the Quick Start guide, and I'll be providing your characters sheets and tokens, as well as guiding you through the rules. the setting is an alternative version of Victorian London, so I'll be prepping my best British accents. I'm told I'm quite good at voices, but I'll let you be the judge. This campaign setting blends horror with silliness, and I'll reward roleplay decisions that find a way to blur the line between them. Travel is also a major component of Time Without Tide, and so there will be lots of space to RP your characters with your new friends. This setting, although not truly combat lite, is not necessarily combat-oriented, so don't be afraid to try to solve problems through diplomacy, trickery, or just good old-fashioned running away in terror.

How Michael creates a safe table

All of my tables are antiracist and LGBTQ+ friendly. Disrespecting another player's personhood will not be tolerated. In order to make this game truly horrifying, I will be pushing boundaries. To be frank I'll be trying to make myself uncomfortable so I can make you uncomfortable. I would like you to keep in mind that, no matter what happens in-game, it is just a game. And I'm your friendly GM who is likely having similar feelings. Feel free to talk to me about them! I'll leave a channel open for it. Don't worry though: I'm trying to push boundaries, not overstep them. Before you play, I'll give you a Safety and Consent form to go over to give me a heads-up about any content you need me to avoid. I'll also leave a channel open for you to add any content that comes up during gameplay that you didn't list but aren't comfortable with. Your characters are in terrible danger. You are not.
