About the adventure

About me
I am a dedicated DM who has been running games for over a decade. My primary focus is D&D 5e but I also have run Monster of the Week, Avatar Legends, and many indie games like Sentai and Sensibilities and the Grant Howitt One Page RPGs.

Creating your character
Character creation is standard any WotC source is valid please no homebrew options. Please have your character or character idea ready when I send the discord link. Here you can discuss with other players what they are making and put final touches before we play. Stats will be Standard Array (15,14,13,12,10,8) or point buy as laid out in the PHB. Most importantly I will need your HP, AC, Character name, and an Image so I can create your token before we play.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before each game you will need to create a character. This can be done in anyway you see fit though I recommend using Dndbeyond. If you do use Beyond you might want to get the Beyond20 browser add on. It will link your Beyond character straight to roll20. You will need accounts with discord and roll20.
What Justin brings to the table
I enjoy dungeon crawling and combat. Expect maps to traverse and hostile enemies. I do enjoy rule of cool but I often fall back to RaW if unconvinced. I have a roll20 pro account that will allow for dynamic lighting. For this adventure I have the roll20 map and handout pack. Finally I use Kenku FM to play background music this volume can be controlled individually through discord.
Homebrew rules
We won't be tracking mundane ammo. So bows, crossbows, and other range style weapons will be considered having unlimited ammo. Magical or specialty ammo will be tracked. Cleaving Through Creatures: When a melee attack kills a full-health enemy, excess damage carries over to an adjacent target if the original attack roll would also hit them. Flanking: Grants advantage on melee attacks when an ally is positioned directly opposite an enemy. Hitting Cover: When a ranged attack misses a target taking cover behind another creature, compare the roll to the cover creature's AC; if it meets it, the cover creature takes the hit.
