About the adventure
Today's adventure begins how many adventures end: with a trap being triggered. The wall in front of you falls with a loud crash, revealing a group of adventurers. You stand naked before them with the innate knowledge that they are intruders. ----- 💀 This is a 4-5 hour oneshot. It starts with crunchy combat, but the main focus is dungeon-crawling and puzzle-solving. New characters are necessary; some character restrictions will apply. Beginners are welcome, but the oneshot is very challenging. A oneshot is a mini-adventure designed for a single session; they're great for having an easy night of fun with no weekly commitment. As mentioned, beginners need not shy away, but the dungeon is very dangerous and teamwork will be needed :)

About me
Hello! I'm Dallas. I've been a Dungeon Master for 6 years, but I've been roleplaying before I even knew what to call it. If I wasn't creating my own Original Characters (OCs), I was taking 2014 fandoms and text-RPing back and forth online. Playing make-believe has been my second language for a long time. I love the creativity that being a DM provides. Prepping maps, minis, and music playlists will never get tiring to me. No matter if it's a heroic sandbox with ripple effects, a goofy stress-reliever one-shot, or a gothic horror module with gritty combat, I can truthfully say I've enjoyed moments from every aspect in every game :) Whether you're wanting a tailored campaign, a mini-adventure for min-maxxed fights, or simply someone to host your game with friends, feel free to reach out!

Creating your character
Characters will be level 5 using standard array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) or the point buy system for your ability scores. For your health, you can either roll or take the average of your hit dice +Con modifier. We will be using 5e 2014 version. Sourcebooks allowed: PHB/Basic Rules 2014, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Monsters of the Multiverse, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Mythic Odysseys of Theros, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Elemental Evil Player's Companion, etc. (i.e. most 5e official books) **You should leave your backstory and personality traits blank or very vague; you can form your character during the session. You will find out why.** I encourage you to use Heroforge for a custom miniature (which either you or I can make), but a simple photo will work as well. Character sheets can be thru DnDBeyond, Roll20, text-based PDF, image-based sheet, etc. As long as it's accessible! (Disclaimer: with the nature of a oneshot, punches won't be pulled and characters may die.)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use Discord for voice chat, and a link to the server will be sent upon sign-up. Please join the Discord with plenty of time before the session, and have a microphone and web browser ready for Owlbear Rodeo (which does not need an account). And PLEASE share your character sheet at least 3 hours beforehand, as I have to copy it.

How Yoinked By Dallas creates a safe table
Should players feel the need to, they can digitally message an "X" or "Stop" to signal discomfort. Besides claustrophobia (dungeon-crawling), large water, and your typical violence from a trapped D&D dungeon, the oneshot does not cover the below content warnings in detail, and I would consider this oneshot a T for Teen.
