Hello! I'm Dallas. I've been a Dungeon Master for 6 years, but I've been roleplaying before I even knew what to call it. If I wasn't creating my own Original Characters (OCs), I was taking 2014 fandoms and text-RPing back and forth online. Playing make-believe has been my second language for a long time. I love the creativity that being a DM provides. Prepping maps, minis, and music playlists will never get tiring to me. How Yoinked By Dallas runs games
I've run all sorts of campaigns and one-shots, and every player group is different, but my best games are a mix of roleplay and combat so the group doesn't get bored of either. A couple sessions of one, a couple sessions of the other. I'm a sucker for roleplay though, even if my voice isn't the best. Every character has motivations and personal feelings and thoughts, and just a little bit of prompting into their insights can make a character- or even the player- more likely to insert themselves into decisions or discussions. I do enjoy challenging combat too, and finding unique monsters or unique mechanics to include in a fight is something I like to think about. But there's also nothing wrong with a simple, easy fight!

Yoinked By Dallas's ideal table
As with everything else, I like a good balance. I hope my games are calm enough to chill and focus on, with some serious moments, but not overly so in a way you can't have fun and enjoy yourself. I love players who inspect every character and really understand motivations and weaknesses. I love players who enjoy a character's downfall and mistakes, even if it's their own. But most of all, anyone who truly interacts with the world, makes an effort, and understands the effort of DMing is a player I love.

can understand a tone shift and adapt to it. Knowing when to step back to give the spotlight to another player, or getting ready to consider in-depth character thoughts to reply. Or even the opposite- sharing a meme for comedic relief, but being able to continue a heavy moment, is amazing!
