About the adventure
This is a homebrew one-shot adventure taking place in the town of Good Mead in Icewind Dale during the Rime of the Frostmaiden. The whole place is suspiciously mundane with something much darker lurking in the shadows, or perhaps right under their feet... Players of all experience levels are encouraged to join! I'm happy to teach new players if needed. This will take place at 8th level, so your characters will be established adventurers already. We will be using DnDBeyond for character sheets, Roll20 for our tabletop, and Discord for communication. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

About me
I'm Shaun, a very invested and player-focused DM. I've DMed for several groups over the years, and been a player as well. I have preferred being a DM because of how invested I get when I play D&D and I want to build an entire world for my players. I enjoy DMing for new players as well as anyone who just seems enthusiastic to play every week and has a sense of wonder and intrigue. I am very open minded to all homebrew subclasses and items within reason. Overall I'm just very passionate for D&D and would love to play with a long term group as passionate as I am!

Creating your character
Players will be making level 8 characters from any official content from 5e or 2024 content. Your characters will be experienced adventurers who are currently in the town of Good Mead for one reason or another. They don't need to know each other yet. I'm very open minded to stretching rules for character concepts that are not always easy to create, so feel free to reach out if you have any ideas!

What Shaun brings to the table
I like to use music for ambience and battles. I do voices for most characters as long as I believe I'm capable of imitating them. I tend to embrace rule of cool when it applies, and I'm not too strict overall. D&D is supposed to be fun for everyone, and I'll adjust my encounters with this in mind. Just don't get too confident, because your characters could still die in some cases.
