About the adventure
You and your fellow delvers have boarded a ship and set out into the remnants of a formerly glorious world, now coated by fog and filled with unspeakable terrors. Manage your light carefully, or you'll join the sorry fools who blazed the trail before you. The sole lighthouse guiding ships to the last city on the continent has gone dark; your expertise is crucial to keep the city from teetering into starvation and, more importantly, factory downtime. You've been hired to reinstate the lighthouse to full function, rescue any human survivors, and dispatch everything else. You'll brave both the unforgiving wilderness and mutated creatures that await you in the dark, and uncover just what happened to shut off the tower's light. This system evokes the feeling of Fallen London, blending comedy, steampunk, and eldrich horror. Your delver might be a noble whose house has fallen (quite literally. It's down there in the bay!), or a freshly resurrected corpse impersonating his own undertaker. Time Without Tide presents a concise set of character attributes and skills, and encourages creative combinations of each to tackle the challenges you face. Management of your equipment, abilities, and mental fortitude is also key to success, but don't sweat the finer details of exactly how many tins of sardines you eat along the way.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi there! Since my first homebrew D&D 5e campaign in 2015, I have loved every moment of being a game master. I live for the times where the game comes alive and both the players and I can’t wait to see what happens next. In addition to Dungeons and Dragons, I've also had a great time exploring new genres through systems like Monster of the Week and Avatar: Legends, and can’t wait to use even more games to share everything the hobby has to offer. My proudest moments as a DM have been guiding new players as they find their voice, watching them embrace the suspense and laughter of a game. The most fun moments for me are giving voice to NPCs that delight the table and finding ways to give players' actions weight and create ripples in the broader world that come back to drive the story. As a trans woman, I also love the potential of ttrpgs as an opportunity to explore identity! It was a wonderful way for me to test the waters before first sharing who I really am with the world. With the moderation of safety tools, it can be so much fun to explore a different side of yourself, whether you are just beginning to question or are settled and comfortable in your gender and who you are. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or just beginning to explore tabletop roleplaying games, I’m looking forward to our next adventure together!

What Brooke - Wrathanet brings to the table
As your humble keeper, my priority is to spotlight my players' strengths and ensure the mirth and misery are distributed equally. This module will include challenges of survival and combat, with my goal being to reward good planning and tactics in both! In circumstances where the rules would get in the way of a good moment, I like to err on the side of what leads to the most satisfying game. The adventure will be accompanied by appropriately haunting ambiance, and I hope to do everything in my abilities to bring this word to life for you!

How Brooke - Wrathanet creates a safe table
Before the session, I will ensure that players have the opportunity to send me an RPG consent checklist confirming lines, veils, and acceptable topics. Sessions will include a break at the halfway point for decompression and deciding on your path forward. Additionally, I've included options on roll20 to allow players to quickly and easily indicate a range of points publicly or anonymously: Rewind to go back and discuss what has just happened Stop to end the current scene with no obligation to explain Play to continue the scene and confirm you are comfortable Pause to halt and discuss Fast Forward to wrap up a scene or zoom out Raised hand to indicate you don't want to interrupt the scene but want to join in when you can These are shared in chat and can be shared either publicly or anonymously.
