About the adventure
In Night of the Walking Corpses you and your fellow players are thrown into a world of chaos. The dead wander the streets. Can you survive in this new world? Perhaps you'll even thrive or might find the source of the infection? Can this be reversed? Can you save the infected? Will you fall like all of those shambling dead around you? We are using the Call of Cthulhu system for this campaign. For those unfamiliar, even the lowly zombie can always be a threat to both your body and your mind. Characters will have to balance their sanity and health as they try to survive. The undead in this game might shamble like zombies, but don't rely on too many tropes. Just being bitten isn't enough to make you one of the undead. That wouldn't be fair or fun!

About me
GMing is like cooking. There are many flavors and many chefs. Not every chef makes a dish for every person. I have been running games since March 2015. I started with D&D3.5 and have been through many other systems since then. I like both combat and roleplaying. My longest running game was a World of Darkness game that's story lasted three years, but only saw two major combats. I personally would have liked more combat, but my players wanted to focus on roleplaying and mystery and that's what they found. Some settings that I really gravitate towards are Eberron and Warcraft. I also enjoy basing campaigns of various anime that I've watched. Mostly I run settings of my own making though. I tend to let my players have a ton of agency in my games and let them guide the story and have the world revolve around them. That's not to say I don't know how to throw a mystery or twist at them to lead them towards some main story points every so often. A good game should roleplay downtime and build character relations. Your characters should mean something to you beyond just numbers on a page.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during session 0 and continue in the discord server as needed. For character creation we are using Call of Cthulhu rules as written.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To play you will need an active discord account and be able to join the game server. You will also need to have a roll20 account. Having either the physical book or a PDF of Call of Cthulhu 7e is recommended, but not required.
What Senryu brings to the table
My game style falls into brutal but fair strategy. The world is dangerous, but if you think through the situation there should always be an answer. Call of Cthulhu is a strong system for rules as written and I'll try to follow the written rules as best as possible. During session 0 we can agree to using voice chat or simply typing out roleplay within roll20. I will also discuss if players are comfortable with me recording the game for replay and note taking.

How Senryu creates a safe table
During session 0 we will go over character creation and talk over what kind of horror people are comfortable with and what might be going to far. There will a digital X, N, O cards for communicating when a scene is veering into uncomfortable.
