About the adventure
This campaign will rely on planning & creativity. We'll focus on careful planning, stealth, evasion, and clever execution rather than standard hack-n-slash dungeon crawling. I love RP so we'll have plenty of that, but bring your best Ocean's 11/Mission Impossible vibe & prep for success. Not all plans are perfect, & that's ok. Tension will be up & stakes will be high. Let's see what you & your party can accomplish! ~~ We're looking for players who want to lean into the "heist" trope & work together with each other. ~~ We'll have 4 players max, however as long as we have two players, we'll run that week. ~~ If you have physical dice, you can roll them!

About me
Greetings, I'm Cake! I'm your easy going facilitator of both in-person and online quests in D&D, Daggerheart, & Call of Cthulhu. I've been a storyteller my whole life, but about six years ago I fell in love with the TTRPG medium & I haven't looked back! The art of creating adventures and crafting stories has captivated me since my childhood & now that I've found TTRPGS, these wild ideas have been evolving into handcrafted memorable campaigns. I like to blend fantasy, horror, & humor into a a few hours of gaming where we can just sink into our characters & experience their scenes together. Shared storytelling is one of my favorite things about TTRPGs, as a DM, I set up the world & you knock it down, sometimes literally... Join me on our collective journey through thrilling escapades, where laughter, challenges, and unforeseen surprises await. Together, we'll co-create stories and forge memories to live in our hearts forever.

Creating your character
Character Sheets will be built together during Session 0.5 in Roll20. Stats will be rolled together in our Session 0.5 - 4d6 Drop the Lowest Species, Subclasses, Spells, & Backgrounds will all be 2024. Any 3rd Party content or 2014 Species will need to be discussed with me prior please.
We're leaning into the Sister Act trope for sure! We have an old lady lounge singer (Rogue) on the run & she's pretending to be a nun. We also have a young man who's trying to make his way out in the world while still holing onto the ideas of his deity (Cleric). We've have one session, but it's a great vibe & we've been leaning into the chaos!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you'll need is a Roll20 & Discord account. If you have physical dice, you can roll them.
What Cake brings to the table
I'll be providing custom maps & images, character tokens, tone setting music, engaging NPCs, deep lore if you wish to follow it, my best attempt at voices, challenging encounters, role-play supporting moments, & a heist forward environment.
Homebrew rules
Death Saves are Whispered to me. After 3 Successes you regain 1 hp. Medicine Check to stabilize a downed ally: - A critical success revives their target with 1 hit point. - Rolling 15 or above stabilizes them. - Rolling 10 or above counts as a successful death saving throw. - Rolling below 10 has no effect, but a critical failure counts as a failed death saving throw. Help Action: Proficiency in the skill is necessary in order to grant advantage via the Help Action to others. Inspiration: You can bank as many Points of Inspiration as you earn, however only one can be spent on a Roll & Inspiration cannot be shared between other players. Flanking: Being 180 degrees from an ally, surrounding a creature no more than one size larger than you, you have advantage on your attacks. As a Note, this will be the same for PCs as well.

How Cake creates a safe table
We'll have a Session 0.5 where we'll go over Line & Veils & get to know each other. After that, we'll openly talk about the setting & the campaign in general. Then we'll discuss our character ideas & see if there are any Bonds that can be made between the PCs. We'll Roll for stats & then start building our characters on Roll20! We'll take a quick 10 min. break & then come back for the 2nd half where we'll jump right into the game. You'll get to play as your characters & get a feel for them in a short scenario & combat.
