Hi! I’m Sydney. I’m a roleplay heavy, combat light DM who has close to 10 years of DMing experience and 12 as a player. I primarily use Dungeons and Dragon 5e, but I have been a GM for Call of Cthulhu, Masks: the New Generation, and Legends of the 5 Rings. I hope to play with you soon!

Creating your character
We will build characters together during a session zero. Stats will be decided through Standard Array (15,14,13,12,10,8 for base stats) or point buy. I have a campaign created in D&D Beyond that will be used character creation. I have the 2024 Player's Handbook available through D&D Beyond content sharing. Xanathar's Guide to Everything. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft, and Volo's Guide to Monsters are also allowed, but players would have to own the book on D&D Beyond to use it during character creation. I will allow respecs when I gain access to the books. Starting level is 3.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have an account on D&D Beyond and Discord. Join this Discord server: https://discord.gg/marjZX672. The link for the D&D Beyond campaign is in that server. We will use the D&D Beyond VTT.
What Sydney Berryman brings to the table
I provide an immersive world, an adaptable Rule of Cool, and extra Discord features. I hand‑craft letters, type out in‑world documents, and create virtual props to bring every moment to life.
Homebrew rules
Critical are the maximum on one set of damage dice. The other damage dice are rolled. For example, a character crits with a great sword, then damage would be 12 (the maximum rolled on 2d6) +2d6 +modifiers.

How Sydney Berryman creates a safe table
My X, N, and O cards will be messaged in a specific channel in the Discord. In session zero, I will discuss the expectations for games, safety, and conduct. I have a Google form that will be sent during session zero that asks what limits a player has and topics are not to be touch. It will also have an agreement of rule and expectation that must be signed at the end of the form. Aftercare uses the Stars and Wishes feedback system and receiving one compliment from me.
