About the adventure

New to D&D? You're welcome here. You don't need years of experience or a deep knowledge of the rules to join this adventure. I'll guide you through character creation, help you learn the game as we play, and make sure you always know what your character can do. Whether you're completely new or an experienced player, you'll have room to make your character your own. Your adventure begins in Greenest, a small town suddenly thrown into chaos by a massive attack. Houses are burning, civilians are in danger, and the Cult of the Dragon is searching for something far more valuable than gold. What starts as a fight to survive the night will slowly reveal a much larger threat spreading across the Sword Coast. As the campaign grows, so will your character. You'll travel across the Sword Coast, uncover the cult's plans, meet powerful factions, face dangerous enemies, and take part in battles that can change the course of the story. Expect a mix of roleplay, exploration, investigation, and exciting combat, with your character's choices shaping how events unfold. My goal is to make every session feel like your adventure, not a story you're simply watching from the sidelines. I use Foundry VTT, music, ambient sounds, character voices, visual effects, and carefully prepared scenes to bring the world to life while leaving plenty of space for your ideas to shape what happens next. Who is this game for? This game is a great fit for new players, returning players, and veterans who want a long-term D&D adventure with memorable characters, meaningful choices, and an epic fantasy story that starts small and keeps getting bigger. All you need is a character, a willingness to make some questionable decisions, and a few dice.

About me

Hi, I’m Reckesly, a Chilean Game Master who fell in love with Dungeons & Dragons back in 2013. What began as a passion for fantasy, storytelling, and collaborative play quickly became a huge part of my life, and I’ve been involved in tabletop roleplaying ever since. In 2019, I decided to step behind the screen and begin my journey as a Game Master. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of building memorable adventures and unforgettable stories alongside my players. GMing has become more than a hobby for me, it’s a creative space where I can bring worlds to life, help players shine, and create experiences that stay with the table long after the session ends. My longest-running campaign is set in my homebrew world, Ummo, which has been ongoing for five years since 2021. It has grown into a living world shaped by the choices, triumphs, and failures of the players who have adventured through it, and I hope to continue expanding it for many years to come. Outside of the table, I’m deeply inspired by fantasy literature. Some of my favorite works are Dune and A Song of Ice and Fire, both of which have influenced the way I think about worldbuilding, conflict, and memorable characters.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will take place during Session 0, before the campaign officially begins, and Session 0 will be completely free. Ability scores can be determined using either Standard Array or dice rolls, depending on each player's preference. All characters will start at level 1. Characters will be created directly in Foundry VTT, which will be the platform we use to play. As for available content, players will be able to use all official D&D 2014 or D&D 2024 content, depending on which system we ultimately decide to use for the campaign.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

1. Join the campaign's Discord server. You will be sent an invitation and will need a Discord account to participate in the table's communication. 2. Access Foundry VTT. You will be given access to the campaign world directly through Foundry VTT. No additional software is required, as you can access it directly from your browser.

What Reckesly brings to the table

You'll find a table prepared to make the game feel like an adventure, rather than just a video call with dice. I voice the characters, use music and ambient sounds to accompany scenes, and prepare visual effects to make important moments stand out. There will be room for both lighter combat and more heroic encounters, where moving forward will require strategy, courage, and determination. When it comes to the rules, I primarily follow the rules as written, but there is always room to step outside them when an idea makes sense, is well thought out, and contributes to both the story and the group's enjoyment.

Safety

How Reckesly creates a safe table

Player safety and comfort will be a priority from the very beginning, even before the campaign starts. During Session 0, we'll discuss the tone we want for the story, the table's expectations, and each player's personal boundaries. We'll use a Lines and Veils system, which can be adjusted at any point during the campaign. Lines are topics that will not appear in the game, while Veils may be part of the story but will not be described or explored in detail. We'll also follow an Open Door policy: any player can ask for a pause, step away from a scene, or leave a session if they need to, without having to explain themselves or feel judged. During longer sessions, we'll take short breaks to disconnect, chat, or simply take a breather. At the end of each session, we'll have a brief check-in to talk about how the game felt, what worked well, and whether there's anything we should adjust. The goal is to enjoy intense, dramatic, or emotionally challenging stories whenever the group wants to explore them, while always respecting the boundaries and well-being of everyone at the table.
