About the adventure
This is a light horror Monster of the Week mystery! Set in the modern day (or more like ten years ago), our Hunters are called on by someone who's relative has not been responding. The last they heard, they were excited about a new video game: the same one in the news recently after someone refused to stop playing the game for ANYTHING and ultimately died. Monster of the Week is a 2d6 system with a heavy focus on narrative roleplay. I myself run roleplay and improvisation focused games, so the game will not be mechanically heavy. I'll ease you into the system and help you along as needed. In the first session we'll do a full Session 0: Going over the system basics, helping you create your Hunters and build inter-team history. After that, we'll play the Mystery out over the next four sessions. I promise good times, lots of laughter, and playing along with any wild decisions or off-the-wall plans you throw at me!

About me
We open on a young girl in the heart of India's capital, getting lost in her daydreams and imagination. In a few years, she will find out about a form of imagination with other people, using dice and characters and storytelling. Then, she'll play her first game of D&D. Eventually she'll find many indie RPGs, play games on stream, and find a community of fellow TTRPG enthusiasts. That girl is me! I'm Asis, a queer and neurodivergent TTRPGer from India! I've been playing for about 9 years now, and started dipping my toes into GMing 5ish years ago. I've been a part of many, many actual play streams over the past 4 years, both as player and as GM. I am currently part of many APs both long and short, as well as a couple of home games. I was part of Godkiller: Qismat, a multi-lingual AP that has won multiple webfest awards; as well as Echoed Dimensions, India's first studio-shot AP. My favourite systems are Thirsty Sword Lesbians and the DIE RPG, and I also have a lot of experience with rules-light mini RPGs. I hope to see you at my table!

Creating your character
Characters will be made in the first session (aka the Session 0) on Roll20, after I go over the basic rules of the game. Characters will use the basic MOTW creation rules with the stat arrays on each playbook, and no advancements from the start. We will not be using the Teams Playbooks. You may refer to the Playbooks available on the Evil Hat website to get an idea of what you want to play beforehand (I advise using the 2026 version of the Playbook Menu).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have a Discord and Roll20 account, join the Tailwind Tavern discord server, read the basic information I post in the game's channel and fill out the Lines and Veils sheet.
What Asis brings to the table
I will provide a set-up Roll20 game, will share necessary rules and resources as needed, will play some ambient music. Most importantly, I will encourage their ideas and set up fun situations for their PCs whether to give them a heroic moment or make them confront something dark or difficult. I promise fun times and hard choices. And NPCs with terrible pun names.

How Asis creates a safe table
A thorough Lines and Veils sheet is mandatory for players to fill, and will be discussed during Session 0. During session 0, will also go over general guidelines, as well as content warnings integral to the story. Messaged as well as video X cards are both allowed, and my DMs will always be open. And of course, Open Door, step away if you ever need to.
