About the adventure
In a forgotten corner of the Long Rim sits a planet that has seen more than it's share of death. Discovered by a far-field team a century ago, Laramidia-3 is now the crucible of Dr. Aios' research. Through gene-modding, she seeks to bring humanity into a new epoch, as our ancestors did when first they discovered flame. Hired to deal with a group of radicals interfering with the critical research being conducted on site, you will have to traverse hostile environs, deal with scarce resources, and tangle with the creatures that call this planet home. But all of that is only Skin Deep.

About me
Hi, I'm Rachel, also known as Talons. I'm a queer neurodivergent mess. I've been playing and running TTRPGs casually since 2016, and running professionally since 2023. I love exploring the rich worlds and characters that are built playing these games. As a Game Master, I am unwilling to tolerate bigotry of any kind and will not hesitate to take the necessary steps to keep my games a safe place for my players. It is my sincere belief that generative AI has no place in creative spaces. AI generated content is not allowed in my games. I am here to tell stories and celebrate creativity, and generative AI has no place in a space dedicated to human creativity. If my tables are full or you're looking for something a little different, consider checking out my friend: https://startplaying.games/gm/gmaletheia

Creating your character
Pilots will be built at LL0, together as a group during Session 0 using Comp/Con. https://compcon.app/ Feel free to come with an idea of who you're playing, but please wait till Session 0 to finalize your build so we can discuss backstories, and ensure they mesh well with the others at the table. If you require help building your character during Session 0, I am more than willing to help walk you through the process or provide you with a prebuilt template. Custom art to represent each players mech, and deployables (turrets, drones, mines, etc.) is fully optional, and I will provide default images for anyone who does not care to submit their own. For players who want custom art, I recommend RetroGrade Minis, linked here: https://www.retrogrademinis.com/ Pilot art is appreciated, but not required. All official material published by Massif Press is allowed. Players do not need to purchase any materials to play Lancer, and all player facing material can be downloaded through the demo links available on Massif Press's Itch.io page linked here: https://massif-press.itch.io/
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need an account for Discord, and Forge to be able to connect to the voice channels, and the server where Foundry is being hosted respectively. Once players have signed up, if time allows I will reach out to them for a one-on-one over Discord to to make sure we're on the same page and catch any technical issues which may arise. If time does not allow, we will handle these during Session 0 at the latest, or 30 minutes before session if the game is already ongoing when the player joins.

Safety
How Rachel creates a safe table
Lines and veils will be discussed with players during Session 0 and breaks will be taken at least 1 to 2 times per session, for around 5-10 minutes as needed. The Luxton Technique will also be discussed during Session 0 and used throughout the campaign. If a player needs to leave at any reason they can do so without judgement.
