About the adventure
After a long journey, you find the small village of Whitwick. But not is all that it seems - men, women, and children have gone missing in the past few months. Can you find the culprit, defeat the menace, and bring relief to the people of Whitwick? ----- 🔪 This 3-4 hour oneshot is a mix of roleplay interaction, survival, and high-stakes combat, with loose ties to folk horror and a comedic edge. For maximum simplicity, ease, and terror, characters are human and non-magical classes with no equipment at level 3. A oneshot is a mini-adventure designed for a single session; they're great for having an easy night of fun with no weekly commitment. This one is very beginner friendly and teaches various mechanics of D&D while not being overwhelming :)

About me
Hello! I'm Dallas. I've been a Dungeon Master for 6 years, but I've been roleplaying before I even knew what to call it. If I wasn't creating my own Original Characters (OCs), I was taking 2014 fandoms and text-RPing back and forth online. Playing make-believe has been my second language for a long time. I love the creativity that being a DM provides. Prepping maps, minis, and music playlists will never get tiring to me. Creating your character
Characters will be Humans and a non-magical class (Barbarian, Fighter, Monk, or Rogue) at level 3, with no equipment. Magical subclasses are not allowed as well. We will be playing 5e 2014 version. You can use either standard array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) or the point buy system for your ability scores. For your health, you can either roll or take the average of your hit dice +Con modifier. Backstories won't be involved, and I'd highly recommend using a Stock photo of a person screaming - trust me, it turns out funny :3 Character sheets can be thru DnDBeyond, Roll20, text-based PDF, image-based sheet, etc. As long as it's accessible! (Disclaimer: with the nature of a oneshot, punches won't be pulled and characters may die.)

Preparing for the session
We will use Discord for voice chat, and a link to the server will be sent upon sign-up. Please join the Discord and share your character sheet at least a few hours before the session, and have a microphone and web browser ready for Owlbear Rodeo (which does not need an account!)
