About the adventure

A classic dungeons and dragons game filled with, you guessed it, dungeons and dragons! Great for beginners and people not familiar with the sword coast or forgotten realm lore. Easy to follow story and some good opportunities for roleplay in the traveling and exploration portions. Even though it is a module there are still plenty of places to add in character backstory and lore!

About me

Hi I'm Sainte I started playing 5e about 8 years ago and have been dming for about 5. I used to run games at my lgs but moved recently and don't have one nearby so I'm looking to expand and start some new adventures and one shots!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation should happen before game using dndbeyond, if players need help with that I am more than happy to jump on a call or answer messages to go over it! Most if not all official 5e books should be able to be used with dm discretion. Starting level will be 3 unless everyone would prefer to start at 1 as the book suggests. Stats will be determined by group choice either standard or point buy.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Discord is the easiest and fastest way to reach me but I will answer messages on here as quick as possible as well! Roll20 is preferred but I can always screen share thru discord if needed. If preferred I can make a discord server easily.

What Sainte brings to the table

This will be mostly rules as written but rule of cool is always encouraged! There will be attempts at character voices but there will not be music. Some of the combat will be fun and silly but some will be dangerous! I can provide access to what I own on dndbeyond as well as a roll20 link and a discord server if it is wanted.

Homebrew rules

You can drink a healing potion as a bonus action but giving one to someone else is still an action. Doing a skill check during your turn in combat does not cost you anything extra. Moving diagonal is the same 5ft as moving forward or back. Death saves are kept secret between the player and dm. If someone is in the air the distance is just however far you are, I'm not trying to do all that math lol! If you would like to learn a new skill or tool proficiency you can spend downtime working on it and if you get a nat20 you are proficient or if enough time goes by in game.

Safety

How Sainte creates a safe table

I will send out a red, yellow, and green check system before the game that I am more than happy to discuss with players on where the lines are! If something comes up in session just send me a private message and we will take a break and check on everyone and see what we need to do from there.
