About the adventure
The Runelords have risen before. This time, one of the most powerful among them intends to bring an age of vengeance down upon Golarion—and only mythic heroes stand in his way. Join a high-level Pathfinder 2e campaign spanning **levels 12–20**, filled with ancient Thassilonian secrets, formidable dungeons, legendary villains, and spectacular battles with world-shaking consequences. Expect a cinematic, story-driven adventure combining investigation, diplomacy, dungeon exploration, and epic fantasy set pieces. **What to expect:** - Mythic, high-level Pathfinder 2e play - A complete three-part campaign with a decisive conclusion - Memorable NPCs, ancient mysteries, and dangerous locations - Tactical combat balanced with roleplay and investigation - A welcoming, cooperative table - No previous Runelords knowledge required This campaign is ideal for players who want capable heroes, serious threats, rich Golarion lore, and the chance to decide the fate of the world. The age of the Runelords is ending. The only question is whether you will survive its final chapter.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey there! I'm Gamersaurus Lex, a longtime player and GM who owned a local game store for about a decade. I am a happy-go-lucky extrovert that spent the last decade of his life running a FLGS and professionally nerding out with gamers of every age and disposition. I love running games with lots of excitement, fully realized NPCs, and a true open sandbox approach, even when we're running an established module. You want to ignore the module's storyline and chart your own course? I will make it happen! Prefer to play in one of my homebrew campaigns set in the Moonsea Region of the Forgotten Realms? Buckle up, you're in for a wild ride! I have decades of experience introducing new players to the hobby, at my game store, conventions, and at my home table, so you couldn't be in better hands if you're just starting out with TTRPGs or if you're switching systems. I have been a pro GM for about 20 years, and only recently started offering my services online with StartPlaying. Veterans will enjoy my games, too, especially with all the Easter eggs that pop up in every session. I tend to run D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, and Starfinder these days, but I have plenty of recent experience with 3.x, Savage Worlds, GURPS, and the many varieties of the Cypher System. And, let's be honest, given time to prepare, I can run any system if there is a group that really wants that system.

Creating your character
Characters will be created before the first session, with individual guidance available through Discord. We’ll begin at **level 12** using the standard Pathfinder 2e attribute-boost rules—no rolled statistics. Build your character in **Pathbuilder or Foundry VTT** using the Remastered rules. Options from official Paizo sources are welcome; uncommon and rare options require GM approval. Please use the free *Revenge of the Runelords Player’s Guide* when choosing your background and campaign connections. The campaign uses the mythic rules from *War of Immortals*, and we’ll select mythic destinies together to ensure they work properly with the adventure. Bring a capable adventurer with a reason to protect New Thassilon and cooperate with the party. Final characters will be reviewed before play so we can catch rules issues, fill major party gaps, and connect everyone to the campaign.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before your first session: 1. Join the campaign’s **Discord server** using the invitation provided after booking. 2. Install the Discord desktop app and confirm that your microphone works clearly. Headphones are strongly recommended. 3. Use a modern browser—preferably Chrome or Firefox—to access **Foundry VTT** on the hosted **ForgeVTT** website using the invite link provided after booking. No Foundry purchase or installation is required for players. 4. Create your level 12 character in **Pathbuilder** or **ForgeVTT** and check with the GM for review before the game. 5. Read the campaign overview and the spoiler-free sections of the free *Revenge of the Runelords Player’s Guide*. 6. Familiarize yourself with your character’s core abilities; complete mastery of high-level or mythic rules is not expected. 7. Arrive a few minutes early to resolve any audio, connection, or character-sheet issues. You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a clear microphone, and a computer capable of running Foundry in a browser. All game links and setup assistance will be provided through Discord.
What Gamersaurus Lex brings to the table
I’ll provide a complete **premium Foundry VTT experience**, including detailed maps, automation, dynamic lighting, tokens, handouts, ambient music, and atmospheric sound. Rules references and character-building assistance will also be available through Discord. My style emphasizes: - Cinematic storytelling and distinct NPC personalities - Challenging, tactical combat where teamwork matters - Meaningful roleplay, investigation, and character choices - Clear rulings that keep the session moving - Spotlight time for every player - A welcoming, cooperative, and inclusive table I generally follow **Rules as Written**, especially during combat, so players can make informed tactical decisions. When the rules are unclear—or when a creative idea would make the scene better without undermining another character’s abilities—I’m happy to embrace the **Rule of Cool**. Expect dangerous encounters and intelligent enemies, but never an adversarial GM. I’m rooting for your heroes while giving their victories real weight.
Homebrew rules
I use a few player-friendly house rules: - Generous Aid: Helping another character is encouraged, with more accessible Aid rulings (and no downside for a critical failure). - Bestiary Tracking: Successful Recall Knowledge checks are remembered. When you encounter the same creature—or a closely related creature—you retain relevant discoveries from previous encounters. - Hero Points: Everyone receives a Hero Point at the beginning of the session and after the mid-session break. The previous session’s player-voted MVP begins with an additional Hero Point. - Between-Session Fiction: Players who contribute written fiction to the campaign’s Discord receive a bonus die, usually a d6, which can be added to one roll during the following session. - Fortune Effects: Hero Points and bonus dice both count as Fortune effects, so they generally cannot modify the same roll or stack with another Fortune effect.

Safety
How Gamersaurus Lex creates a safe table
Player safety and comfort come first. Before play, everyone will discuss their **Lines and Veils form** at the Session Zero. We’ll review the group’s boundaries during Session 0 without requiring anyone to explain or justify them. If there is something bothersome during a session, players may pause, redirect, or leave a scene at any time—no explanation required. An **Open Door policy** applies throughout every session. Session 0 will cover campaign themes, content boundaries, table expectations, respectful communication, and how we’ll handle intense material. After difficult scenes, we’ll pause and check in. Sessions will conclude with a brief debrief, and players are always welcome to contact me privately afterward. Boundaries can be added or changed at any point during the campaign.
