About the adventure
Attackers flying an unknown banner threaten your village! Your peaceful life is inexplicably thrown into disarray, forcing you to make the agonizing decision to stay or flee. There are no right answers to such cruciferous decisions; there are only consequences. Can you bear the weight of your own freedom? Of taking responsibility for your own decisions and actions? This dramatic and introspective adventure reveals the answer to these questions and more! ********* In this campaign, players will collaboratively build their home village as well as several of its inhabitants during Session 0. Then, those cherished people, those favored locales and hang-out spots, will all suffer the wrath of the flames of war! Explore the significance of home, family, legacy, and the worth of one's own ideals and principles in this heart-wrenching story that, potentially, ends in heroic exuberance! Players can expect the following: - An accessible game built for both beginners and veterans alike - Roughly 60/40 split between combat and roleplay, although that is negotiable on a table-by-table basis - Tactical, challenging combat - A rich, living, dark fantasy world with deep connections for player characters, both in terms of history and cultures, and NPCs - Deeply personal and moral stakes and challenges throughout this gripping tale - Some homebrewed mechanics to facilitate larger skirmishes, and bring my world of Engara vividly to life!

About me
Avast, ye intrepid adventurer! Ye hast...*Ahem*. Perhaps I should be serious. Hello, there! I'm Enigmaze, but you can call me Enigma. I have been DMing for 10 years (as of 08/2026). Throughout those years, I've ran a variety of systems ranging from D&D 5E to Exalted: Essence and even V:tM 5E and, recently, Daggerheart. My interests are vast and varied. Odds are, I either already have a game for you OR I likely have one (or will have one) in the works!

Creating your character
We will use Foundry during Session 0 to create our characters. Come prepared with at least two fun character concepts you would be willing to play for the campaign. All official Daggerheart material (e.g. Core, and Hope and Fear) is allowed, although the Void is not.
