About the adventure
2040. Humanity has fallen, herded like cattle by the Shepherds to altars where cultists sacrifice victims to the Frog God through rituals older than civilization itself. From the scattered survivors a Resistance begins to form, scavenging forbidden relics and stolen eldritch technology. In the last surviving archives, they uncover a pattern: four events in 2019 that led to the awakening of Tsathoggua. You are Resistance agents, traveling back to 2019 to alter the past in Mexico, France, Great Britain and finally the USA. Unbeknownst to you, this journey will expose you to the corrupting influence of Tsathoggua. Every use of eldritch power feeds a forbidden hunger growing within your PCs. And Tsathoggua, ancient and cunning, may already be watching, tempting your characters' desperate need for forbidden knowledge. The fate of humanity hangs on whether your time travelers and their newfound allies in 2019 can stop the rise of the Devourer… or become pawns of the Frog God. ------------------------- Beginners welcome! Play one, multiple or all four missions. 2-4 sessions per mission. Free session zero to create characters and explain rules. Pre-generated characters available.

About me
Hello, I am Pascal (he/him). I am a game designer and have been GMing for over 25 years. I started with D&D, Star Wars, and VtM, switching to indie TTRPGs in 2018. I enjoy running Fate / Fate of Cthulhu, Trophy Dark, Psi*Run, Scum & Villainy, Apocalypse Keys, and Descended from the Queen games such as Ringmaster and Oh Maker. I run indie RPGs at conventions, online, and in person. I design games under Spotless Dice Games. I have published multiple supplements for Fate of Cthulhu and designed Ringmaster, a Descended from the Queen story game about a dark and supernatural circus. I am currently working on Remnants of Fate, a sci-fi existential horror game. You can find a review of my latest game, Ringmaster, at Cannibal Halfling Gaming (https://cannibalhalflinggaming.com/2025/06/09/ringmaster-review-a-circus-troupe-descended-from-the-queen/). Creating your character
We will hold a session zero (free) to go over safety tools, explain Fate of Cthulhu rules, and create characters. Fate characters are best designed as a group, with individuals completing the final touches before session one. I will explain both the core concepts and Fate of Cthulhu specific rules.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account and a free Roll20 account to join the game. I will provide a link to my Discord server and the Roll20 session ahead of time. I will explain / teach the rules. However, should you wish to get a preview of Fate, you can look at the Fate Condensed rules for free at: https://fate-srd.com/fate-condensed I maintain an open door policy. Ideally, players should complete one full mission (2-3 sessions). Players can rotate in and out between missions relatively easily (subject to availability) based on their schedule and preference - time travel provides many wonderful ways to explain disappearances and returns. There are a total of four missions (for a total of 9-15 game sessions depending on pace of play).
What Pascal brings to the table
I am the designer of two best-selling Fate of Cthulhu timelines and the award-winning game Ringmaster. I have run my Fate of Cthulhu timelines at Origins, Gen Con, Big Bad Con, Breakout Con, and Festival Draconis, as well as online in convention and campaign format. I am a fan of the players, while challenging your characters to see them overcome impossible odds and make difficult choices between corruption and defeat. Players have surprised me with their ingenuity in turning the tables on Eldritch minions, and I hope you do as well! Fate of Cthulhu rules are accessible on my Roll20 account once you join the campaign. I also provide a Fate rules quick reference guide PDF to all players.

How Pascal creates a safe table
We will establish lines and veils during Session Zero, and discuss safety tools. During the sessions, I provide a short mid-session health break which is an opportunity to check in. The X card will be used, with the more flexible Script Change tools by Beau Jagr available, but optional. Stars and Wishes provides an opportunity for players to share what they enjoyed at the end of a session, and what they would like to see in future sessions. I have an Open Door policy.
