About the adventure
"Hell is empty and all the devils are here." William Shakespeare, The Tempest Make no mistake: all of these monsters need putting down. If they're not dealt with, innocent human beings will suffer and die. It's the Hunters' job to protect these people. But evil is not matter of black and white, or right and wrong. Evil is a reflection of that which we try to hide, whether that be from others, or ourselves. Like the Hunters, these creatures act to either preserve their way of life, or to seek justice for what wrongs have been done to them. Whether they hurt those responsible, or not. They just happen to reach for it in ways that bring them into conflict with a Hunter Cell. Each story in Lines Drawn in Blood takes you through the mysterious American Midwest, including Nebraska, Missouri, and concluding further afield in Canada. Pressure Test is your traditional ghost story exploring long-gone history of a town and its residents. Outsiders let's Hunters live through their own folk tale involving ancient Fae pacts and ancient evils sealed away. Blur the Lines presents a single-minded killer with mysterious motives, and time is short, if you'll have hope to stop them. Finally, Alone in the Dark creates a crescendo as you explore a dangerous environment, and an even more dangerous quasi-religious cult of vampires. As Hunters, you are still human, and still have the freedom to choose. Violence is the easy answer, but not the only one available to you in this Chronicle. Ultimately, you decide where you draw the line.

About me
I first learned about TTRPGs some time after D&D 3.5e had come out, so I had a lot of catching up to do at the time. However, as soon as I was exposed to the possibilities, the dam was broken and I was hooked. I've been in and out of groups since then, but when the pandemic began, I had nothing but extra time to play tabletop games. I started homebrewing my own content, running my own games, and making my own maps. I'm not satisfied with playing tropes or going with what's easiest. As a fantasy fiction writer, I want to tell stories that are engaging, breathtaking, and continue to surprise you at every turn. I like to keep things cohesive, but always allow my players to make their own choices, and face the consequences that may or may not follow. The story we tell together should feel like the result of the choices you make together. That's the game I want to create for you. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to the style and length of the adventure you'd like to play. From intense one-shots to elaborate campaigns spanning 2 years. I can run official modules, or invite your group to the setting of my world, Inaelia.

Creating your character
Hunters will be created using the standard method found in the Core Rulebook (Apostates options are not included). Establishing tenets, character connections, Touchstones, and all other details will be handled in Session 0 before the Chronicle begins.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A Discord account will be required for voice chat, as well as an account on Forge VTT. Both of which are completely free and should only take 5 minutes to set up.
What RollPlayer1 brings to the table
I have the source book and core rulebook available, as well as a dedicated VTT server. I like to include ambient music, sound effects, art, and modules to improve your VTT experience.

How RollPlayer1 creates a safe table
Lines Drawn in Blood features many potentially uncomfortable themes that will play an antagonistic role for your characters to combat against. If any content warnings are too much for players to want to face, they can be veiled, or removed from the story entirely. Please read the content warnings so you are aware of the possible themes. An X-card button will be available in the VTT for players to use anonymously. Once used, the game will stop and that player can message me directly so we may resolve the issue. This is an LGBTQ+-friendly game, and I have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech of any kind. Whether that be against gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, and/or creed. Nor will sexual assault be tolerated, whether simulated or as a joke. I want everyone who comes to my table to feel welcomed and safe. Communication is important, and you are always welcome to message me with any questions you may have or to bring up any concerns about the details of the campaign. If something makes you uncomfortable, please signal me right away and we will either retcon, skip, and/or avoid the issue.
