About me
I love dungeons and dragons. I've played over a dozen sessions as GM. I'm from Vienna, Austria, but my parents are American. I speak German and English fluently. I enjoy gaming and cooking. I look forward to meeting new people.

Creating your character
I recommend creating a character in the first session try to bring 2-3 character ideas (class + species is enough for a character idea to start). Depending on your preference you may create the character beforehand. The characters will start at level 1 and will be facing traps and enemies as well as diplomatic opportunities. You will create a character directly in D&D Beyond (https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters) If you want to use content that you don't have on beyond for making your character, be sure to let me know and we can work around it.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Download Above VTT, simply search Above VTT and the first result should be the link to add it to your browser. This is the virtual table top we will be using. Discord will be our method of communication, so an account is necessary. A D&D Beyond account to make characters on is necessary for playing with Above VTT. If you want to use content not on your beyond account I can accommodate that.
What Sascha Gray brings to the table
Players are first second and third when it comes to my GM style. I love integrating character backgrounds into the plot, improving in player ideas on the spot and adjusting difficulty to the challenge level my players expect. Rules are the foundation, but sometimes they get in the way or are difficult to remember, so I don't stick to them fully that is to say I don't just Rule of Cool everything but I promise I'm no stickler. I like to think I have strong grasp on the rules of D&D 5E, but don't expect me to know every spell or everything your class kit contains down to the last detail.
Homebrew rules
Movement is only counted when great distances are involved. Are you on the same elevation and in the same room as an enemy? Then you are most likely in range and we can skip counting the squares- trust me it saves a lot of time. Drinking a potion is a bonus action. Generally speaking if it works in Baldur's Gate 3 then I let it slide in my games.

X, N, & O cards can be said out loud or messaged. X if content should be skipped N if you feel its heading in that direction O for a group check-in to make sure everyone is comfortable
