About the adventure

🌀 In Minecraft making it few those first few days will be the start, where will we go after? What you can expect: 🎭 Deep character development & roleplay ⚔️ Balanced, tactical combat encounters 🗺️ High-quality virtual tabletop maps & immersive audio 🔰 Beginner-friendly! New to the game? I will teach you everything you need to know. What the game looks like: One of my favorite video game settings has always been Minecraft. It's always been whatever you need it to be; from a cozy build and farm to high-stakes flying above the pools of the nether. ✨ nearly any pursuit is possible in Minecraft, so it's a perfect pairing with D&D. With the release of the Minecraft Monster Compendium and the Lightning Keep adventure a few years back we have official D&D content about the worlds of Minecraft). 🧙‍♂️A fully developed and fleshed out lore in line with popular theories has been prepared to match the setting and the game will begin like a new world does. I've been working on it for a very long time. 🎲 In the wilderness, surviving. Where the video game begins is where our adventure will start. Luckily enough you'll have a connection to a nearby village where your story begins. Making it few those first few days will be the start, where will we go after?

About me

Hello! My name is Sean! I've been playing tabletops since a young age when I played in my first D&D campaign with my older brother as DM. It's been love since then and I took up running games throughout my youth and adulthood. I am new to online tabletops as a DM, but excited to bring my fun and player focused style to everyone!

Dndbeyond! No homebrew classes but most of the classes and races of the dnd multiverse can be used and fit into this setting, with few expections.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

ill send a link for a discord and play link to join the campaign in DNDBeyond! Just have an account ready to go, I have plenty of material for you to use!

What Sean brings to the table

🎲 Large collection of modules and materials on Beyond! 🗺️ Large collections of art and tokens for use in the game. Maps, tokens, and art/scenes galore! I make use of custom map building and scene building tools and set us all into the world and bring the theater of mind a nice guiding visual. 🎭 I love to use music and ambient sounds to help facilitate our story telling. Voices are never required and I use them occasionally especially in roleplayed interactions. ⚔️ Combat will range from objective based to tradition tactical intensity. 📖 I am all about player exploration and freedom, but given the nature of starting a campaign there will be some linear quests near the very start, but once we get started the path is yours! 🧑‍🎨 In all likelihood I will probably use a camera alongside my microphone during our game play as I think my storytelling is better with a visual of me, but that does not mean players have to use anything beyond a mic and I will let folks know session to session if my camera will be up! I also have a cool top-down camera set up so I can set up terrain encounters and minis to display alongside digital maps for important encounters or fights!

Homebrew rules

I make use of the bonus action potions and casting spells with actions and bonus actions in the same turn are allowed. For crits and other game specific rule adjustments those will all be agreed upon in session 0.

Safety

How Sean creates a safe table

my safety checklists and session zero guidelines follow most industry standards. I like to use general documents like a basic line and veils document alongside Cook's checklist and couple other consensus tools to get everyone on the same safety page. After we establish our game standards a custom group safety agreement will be sent out prior to session 1. It can be modified to fit our needs as we go with group consensus. Topics such as SA or other typical blacklist items will be mentioned in session 0 and agreed upon. This campaign does feature potential PC death and alcohol and tobacco use. Most of the module can be adjusted for phobias or fears as well. Some common ones are tagged. In game X, N, and O cards are easy ways to resolve issues that might arrive. :D
