X-Men: BC(Before Cellphones)

X-Men: BC(Before Cellphones)

This will be very loosely based off the X-Men '97 universe. Might get a bit silly.

About the adventure

The world fears mutants. Politicians argue about them, scientists study them, villains scheme against them, and somehow somebody has built yet another enormous robot specifically designed to punch them. Fortunately, that’s where you come in. Welcome to a slightly silly, gloriously melodramatic Marvel Multiverse campaign inspired by the animated mutant superhero stories of the ’90s. Expect larger-than-life villains, soap-opera relationships, dramatic speeches, exploding laboratories, suspicious government programs, trips to places no reasonable health insurance policy would cover, and at least one problem that could probably have been avoided if everyone had just talked to each other five minutes earlier. You’ll play mutants trying to protect a world that isn’t entirely sure it wants protecting. Between battles with supervillains and anti-mutant extremists, you’ll deal with rivalries, romances, secret pasts, questionable fashion choices, and the eternal question: “Why is the mansion exploding this time?” The campaign will balance superhero action with character drama and comedy. Serious moments are welcome, but this is a world where heartfelt discussions about prejudice and identity may be immediately followed by someone being thrown through a wall by a twelve-foot robot. New players are welcome. Bring an original mutant, an appropriately dramatic backstory, and your best superhero pose. The world may hate and fear you. Try not to take it personally.

About me

I have been active as a game master for over a decade, and I've played a variety of systems. My favorites include GURPS, Shadowrun, FATE, and Genesys. I've also set campaigns in a variety of genres, including cyberpunk fantasy, medieval fantasy, urban fantasy, and space opera. In my spare time, when I'm not gming or playing tabletop rpgs, I enjoy playing the sims, writing, reading, coding, and various arts and crafts. I've written a novel, an urban fantasy piece called Lien on my Soul. Let me know if you want to game with me!
