About the adventure
This game is about a group of daring chancers building a criminal enterprise on the streets of a retro-futuristic dystopia. There’s espionage, heists, chases, escapes, dangerous bargains, shoot-outs, deceptions, betrayals, victories, and deaths. We play to find out if the fledgling crew can thrive amidst the teeming threats of rival gangs, scheming spy agencies, paranormal entities, the corrupt Bluecoats, and the irresistible pull of the scoundrels’ own vices. The game takes place in Doskvol, an important city at the crossroads of the world. It is a city steeped in dark history (see Blades in the Dark), but if you’re not so familiar with that history, don’t worry—most people on the street don’t know or care that much about history either. The future is now! The world is similar to our own in the 1960s or early 1970s. There are cars, phones, airships, early computers, TV shows, movies, and fast food restaurants. It’s crowded with buildings both old and new, twisting streets and busy new motorways, all criss-crossed with hundreds of canals and bridges. The world is also fantastical. The sun was destroyed in a cataclysm a thousand years ago, and strange paranormal entities haunt the deathlands between cities. Most cities are protected by a Bubble, a force field that keeps out the horrors of the deathlands, as well as providing artificial daylight to replace the broken sun.

About me
Hi, My Name, is Franklin West I'm 28 and I've been playing TTRPG's for close to 16 years on and off now and, DM/GM'd for 6 of those years and I've come to deeply enjoy it. Even as a young kid I loved consuming Sci-fi and, Fantasy as much as possible so when I was introduced to D&D as teenager it really left its impression on me. Now over the last 5 years have come to DM/GM for newer players to the Hobbie of TTRPG's rather than being a player. While it's lot more work to tell a story as a GM/DM I've come to enjoy it more with each year of experience! The fun of unwrapping a new world with my players to see all the little details that make a TTRPG a unique experience is what I wish to continue here within this community to reach more new players looking to explore D&D or, other systems of play.

Creating your character
Character creation will be 1 on 1 with players up too session 0. all players will be starting at Lv1 and be provided with the new rules for each of the '68 playbooks! Although a copy of the core rules is free on the VTT I use (Alchemy). Standard 8 points to split between the 3 main attributes into your choice of action. you may not start with more than 2 points in any one action.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
- Discord for in-between sessions, memes, and to chill with your crew outside of game! most to all of our notifications, and the fastest way to reach me. - Alchemy VTT (it's free to sign up) for dice, Microphones/Cameras (optional), scenes/art, music/sounds, clocks/trackers, and character sheets! - If possible, players should be familiar with the base rules for Blades in The Dark. (As this will be for players that are intermediate too familiar with the system.)
What Franklin West brings to the table
-We will be using the new art/maps '68 has to offer! come see the dark and dim world under the new B.L.U.E time sky! - Music, sounds and moving overlays to help bring the swinging 60's of Doskvol to life. - We will be running rules as written; however, fun is always the focus of our table! (So, if we need to get rid of or add a rule to preserve that fun for everyone we will do so.)
