About the adventure
A retired adventurer is withering away, and the Harper's have determined the source of the affliction: an ungodly necromantic device called the Soulmonger. The general whereabouts? Chult, a land of jungles and monsters. Only the bravest, or most foolhardy, adventurers would make a journey like this... are you one of them? Chult is an awesome land not often explored in the lore of the Forgotten Realms! A land where dinosaurs still run free, and the people live with - and despite - the jungles surrounding them. A Disclaimer from the Module: "This adventure will make your players hate you — the kind of simmering hatred that eats away at their souls until all that remains are dark little spheres of annihilation where their hearts used to be." So, heehee, be ready for a tough adventure.

About me
I am a geeky drama therapist (in training!) who is putting her acting degree and love of D&D to work. I've been playing off and on for 20 years, started DM-ing about 4 years ago, and found a passion! My focus is on your characters and their stories, how they're feeling, who they know, how they connect with the world. If you like going into deep lore stuff, I'm your gal. I've been running games professionally for a good two years at this point, though 70% was teaching/playing with people attending a young adult residential. The other 30% is online with some awesome people. Rules as written help make the game a bit more difficult and fun- and if the rules get a bit sticky and slow us down too much, I'll make a call that fits with the story. Come play with me! (I speak these geek dialects - TMNT, star wars, star trek, firefly, LOTR, Critical Role, BG3, Dr. Who, Disney, and a few others to a lesser degree. )

Creating your character
-Characters will be created on D&DBeyond - accounts are free, and I will share the Players Handbook. -Players will be invited to their own channel on the Discord server where they can ask questions and organize thoughts with the DM (me) before Session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
1. Make sure you have DISCORD (free). We'll be inviting you to a server for ease of communication and organization. 2. Make sure you have DnD BEYOND (free) During your first session, we'll ensure you have all of these and that they're hooked up before we play.
What Madame Moiselle (Mads) brings to the table
I love to do voices, and love when you do them too! I stick to rules as written, but lean towards Rule of Cool more when the rules get sticky. Ambient music is an option, I also know that in certain groups it is distracting, or difficult to hear past- I try to leave that up to the group that is playing.

How Madame Moiselle (Mads) creates a safe table
Before joining a game, everyone will complete a consents list to ensure that everyone has a chance to voice their hard limits. Throughout the game, if something is starting to feel icky or uncomfortable, yellow and red will be the color communicators that trigger a check in or a full stop. Every game will end with a stars and wishes moment, and a debrief if anything needs to be addressed.
