About the adventure
It is the rule of Maegor I Targaryen, oft called Maegor the Cruel. Imperious, tyrannical, and profane, his furious reign breeds violence and depravity. His polygamy is an affront to the Faith of the Seven, including the Faith Militant who are responsible for his father's death. Other Targaryens scheme his downfall and offer less heretical and contemptuous heirs. This adventure dwells in the heart of the one hundred year Targaryen Dynasty over the Seven Kingdoms, founded by Aegon the Dragon. Players will choose to take sides as either loyalists to Maegor, gaining power as his dark deeds intensify, or as rival houses and factions, sowing seeds of insurrection, conspiracy, and downfall. Likely factions will include: Targaryen subfamilies, the Faith Militant, conspiring Faith of the Seven, rebellious houses, and more. This campaign takes place roughly 250 years prior to A Song of Ice and Fire, and slightly more than 50 years before the events of The House of the Dragon

In 2014 with the launch of D&D 5e and Call of Cthulhu 7e, I committed to running these games and an old love sparked brilliantly to life! I've since taught dozens their first TTRPG!
