About the adventure

Welcome, groovy space explorers. For those familiar with the Team Behind Crooked Moon, this setting is their next major project that has smashed the galaxy. Strap in for a Sci-Fi Neon Punk adventure for new or old players. Will you bend the net as a Grid Runner, or shatter obstacles as a Rampager, as so many more choices await- This game is a full-length campaign that will be expanded as material is released, and, of course, balance adjustments will be made as issues are found. But I assure you this story will be something you all look forward to every week as it unfolds from cramped cyber cities to intergalactic space battles. With 12 class skins, a new class, 56 subclasses, and 42 species, there's enough customization for the eyes to see. As for the adventure? Well, as rookie Outrunners, you didn't expect much, but getting wrapped up in the ever-looming threat of the Red Star, it may finally be your chance to make it or die trying.

About me

Greetings, my name's Jabber (online persona). I'm a twenty-three-year-old college graduate with an art degree, and I have a passion and love for storytelling. LoTr, The Hobbit, Narnia, Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon, Anime, Manga- I've consumed so much fantasy it's not even funny. The most significant aspect I have always taken from consuming that media is the story, which drove me into DnD as a whole. 2014 was when I really took a look at D&D as a whole. When I was at Books-A-Million with my mother, I convinced her to get me the Phandelver starter set, and from there, I never looked back. I fell in love with the game, and soon began meeting people who shared that joy. Eventually, I found myself behind the screen, running one-shots and crafting my own stories. When I got a job, buying books and commissioning art soon found their way into my life, followed by a plethora of Kickstarters. But my joy was seeing the players cheer, laugh, and cry as they explored the games I ran; it's what drives me to this day to run games. Now, here I am, wanting to bring what I can to the table as a professional GM, as a true testament to myself and what I have learned over the years. If you trust me with your time and character, it would be a great honor, and I will ensure you have the best time possible, feeling the same joy I do while running games.

Character creation

Creating your character

We're going to have a session 0 where characters will be made. As vast as the player options are, we'll want an intuitive creation process. Now, detailed backstories will not be made public; they will all be sent to me privately, so don't worry about spoiling anything :3.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a Discord account and a Sqyre account for this space adventure, as we will be using Sqyre to host Foundry. Also, make sure to have a stable internet connection, a good mic, and a headset.

What Jabber brings to the table

This game, if I am being frank, is playtest material, so things will change, and some things are incomplete at this time. However, I will do my best to provide you with three main experiences. Captivating Visuals and Atmospheric Audio: With a rich array of soundscapes, music, and detailed scenes, you'll feel like you have blasted off into outer space and are ready for an intergalactic adventure like you've never experienced. Player-Focused Narrative Freedom: I am, and always will be, about player freedom and expression; your choices matter, for better or worse. Take pride in knowing you'll affect this world, one way or another. Tools forged with comfort in mind: DnD is an escape from real-world drama and the heavy weight of life. In session 0 and throughout, I'll be making sure everyone is enjoying their time. If something goes wrong, absolutely dm, and we'll take a break to address the matter! I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll bring to the table, just as I plan to bring everything I have!

Safety

How Jabber creates a safe table

Dnd is a game where we come to have fun, tell moving stories, and escape to a reality in which our own plays no part. With that in mind, we may deal with topics that could be sensitive in a Sci-Fi Neon Punk setting, but I am going to do all I can to keep your well-being in mind. Session 0 is, ofc, the first step; we'll also discuss lines and veils, and my mandatory breaks during a game are a must. Players can also message me privately if things start to weigh on them, so don't worry about not having a say if something doesn't feel fun anymore; my DMs are an open door. Other than that, I am open to suggestions to better improve your experience.
