About the adventure
The PCs while trying to navigate all the challenges of surviving/experiencing high school are drawn into the mystery of a string of disappearances that have begun to increase in frequency. This campaign is ideal for anyone especially those new to TRPGs or the DaggerHeart system. Rule of Cool alongside Rules as Written which for DaggerHeart I feel means the main goal is to explore telling a story together the rules are there to serve the story not the other way around. Try not to ask 'Can I do this' and try to say 'I make this choice now lets see what happens' This campaign frame fits nicely over a Campaign I had already put together and leaves lots of room for players to contribute to the world and story first in Session 0 and throughout the campaign. The adventure begins during Orientation week in the Library so connection questions will be done as if you were all students meeting for the first time engaging in typical get to know you/team building activities before something catches your attention in a dark corner of the library.

About me
I have been playing tabletop games for almost 30 years starting with AD&D and the days of THAC0 to now. I have played many TTRPGs and find myself very drawn to Daggerheart. I've begun running my 7 year old and some friends through the system and it is much easier to pick up and adjust for player experience, desires etc. I'm looking forward to the chance to test Daggerheart out in different genres as well as classic fantasy settings. I teach leadership skills, conflict management and emotional intelligence for people transitioning into leadership roles in the construction industry. Formerly an electrical foreperson I have enjoyed the transition and am very comfortable hosting groups and conversation on a variety of online remote style platforms. LGBTQ+ ally and will only host games that provide a safe space for every person and every body. Looking forward to telling some great stories together.

If eager to get started please create your character in https://heartofdaggers.com/characters/ Level 1 all Core, Hope and Fear, and Void content is available. Transformations excluded at character creation and can be added through story and gameplay as the campaign advances. We can also handle character creation during session zero so no need to make all decisions and lock your self in before we all meet.

What Jeff brings to the table
This Campaign is high fantasy we will use Owlbear rodeo when a visual reference would be useful and the nature of this campaign will result in many theatre of the Mind scenes. I am Rule of Cool before Rules as Written so instead of asking Can i do something try to think in terms of I make this choice lets see what happens. Player Character Death is very unlikely in this campaign. When a Player Character reaches 0 hitpoints the character will drop out of the scene until they receive hp or the scene ends and then will need to be brought to the school Nurse or set up to rest.

How Jeff creates a safe table
Inclusion is my number one priority at the table everyone has the right to feel safe and included. I teach leadership and conflict management skills in my day job and put a lot of effort into create a safe and welcoming space. Session 0 will include direct communication on various ways needs, wants and expectations can be communicated in a way where everyone present can contribute to creating the space we need as a group to tell our story.
