About the adventure

Night City is a big place, full of wild parties, dead bodies, and neon lights. Beneath the thin layer of advertising and grime, it’s got some tales to tell. Stories of vicious gangs, hellbent artificial intelligence, and love. You’ll get to meet suave mercenaries and movie stars, and even take a ride in a submarine. You’ll fight cyberpsychos, dirty reporters, rival Edgerunners, and a highflying assault team. The city is voracious. It needs more bodies to chew on, and you’ll supply them—one way or another. Seemingly simple jobs spiral wildly out of control, and herculean tasks can be solved with a single bullet. It’s your city. It hates you. It loves you. And you can’t help but feel the same. There’s adventure to be had here, and if you know what’s good for you, you’ve gotta experience it, choomba.

About me

Hi! My name is Jay. I've been playing TTRPGs (primarily D&D) since around 2005 and have been GMing nearly as long. I have several multi-year campaigns under my belt, as well as a generous collection of digital maps and assets. I also collect dragon miniatures, most of which have seen combat at my table! My storytelling style is cinematic and character-driven. I like to create narrative moments that draw on PC backstories and world lore for deep, meaningful interactions. I want to give my players experiences that they can't help but annoy their non-gamer friends with. My table is a safe, inclusive, 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly space. Everyone is welcome no matter their roots, culture, religion, creed, orientation, gender identity, or politics. The caveat to that is that I will not allow insensitive or bigoted behaviour of any kind. I provide a form to all new players on which they can mark particular subject matters that they would prefer to avoid. If you'd like to request a particular kind of game at my table, please fill out my New Campaign Form: https://tinyurl.com/3wr5p7yz May the dice gods be with you! -J

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be covered in detail during Session Zero or in a one-on-one session. Character creation for the Cyberpunk Red system is outlined here: https://startplaying.games/blog/posts/how-do-you-create-character-cyberpunk-red

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need Discord and Foundry accounts. Links for the respective servers will be provided to new players after signup.

What Jay the Marauder brings to the table

I like to use character voices, including voice modifications on occasion. I have a large collection of battle maps to use, and I can also make custom maps for unique scenarios. I also have a large collection of tokens and a subscription for Heroforge for character art. I generally honour RAW, but I am open to suggestions from my players. I never knowingly use AI-generated content of any kind.

How Jay the Marauder creates a safe table

A form will be provided upon application. You can use it to inform me about your preferences for difficulty, combat and tactics, puzzles and riddles, roleplay and lore, and potential romances. In addition, there is a section where applicants can mark potential triggers or subjects that they wish to avoid. This information goes only to me and will not be shared with other players. Session zero will be used for character building and setting expectations for the campaign, including establishing boundaries on things like potential triggers, PVP, and etiquette.
