About the adventure

If you've ever wanted to focus on the narrative experience of a TTRPG, have direct involvement in the storytelling of the game, and build your own world to explore alongside others, this is your opportunity! This will be a Play by Post Fabula Ultima adventure available to people of all skill levels and familiarity with the system. As is the nature of Fabula Ultima, we'll start by constructing the baseline skeleton of our world and, as the story progresses, flesh it out bit by bit. This will be a pretty freeform narrative experience with a focus on character development and world building and will provide both synchronous and asynchronous opportunities to interact with the world.

About me

I'm a longtime fan of TTRPG's who first got introduced to them over 20 years ago with homebrewed roleplaying systems. I'm incredibly passionate about gaming and I'm a huge fan of RPGs in general. I love exploration and discovery in games; additionally, I'm a big fan of mechanical depth and building rich, complex characters. I have considerable experience playing, running, and designing TTRPGs of a wide variety of styles and have even taken to collecting TTRPGs. I have experience with Dungeons & Dragons, Genesys, Fabula Ultima, Anima, Mage 2e, Only War, and Triangle Agency. I'm confident in my creative abilities and present strong player-focused worlds fully tailored to delivering the best narrative experience for my players.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a Discord account.

What Evenwood brings to the table

For this adventure, my focus as GM will be on facilitation and prose. I will write weekly entries for the adventure and manage character interactions. I will also provide maps and other visual aides and manage the organization of the play by post text experience.

Safety

How Evenwood creates a safe table

Safety will be primarily handled through an initial Session 0 during which we construct our Fabula Ultima world and establish any boundaries players do not want to cross and content we do not want to include in our adventure. We will fully benefit from an asynchronous play by post format through message editing (and deletion where needed) and players, of course, always reserve the right to step away and return to the narrative unfolding when ready.
